    iron cockroach

Seems like this strategy has a very good yield to broker. Slippage on a butterfly is bad enough, I bet after slippage and commissions it is difficult to break even with all these legs. Don;t people use boxes for price discovery, instead of a cash flow strategy?

    401 k's at IB

One limitation I foresee is that IB does not offer 401k accounts. If you mean you are going to roll-over a 401k to an IRA then IB will suit you well if you are actively trading. If you do not meet some minimum threshold in commissions every month, you get charged an inactivity fee at IB...

Texas Teachers to shift about one-third of $112bln assets to alternative investments

It's generally a good contrarian indicator that when these big public funds start doing something, the gig is up and it's time to move on. They are always buying at the top and selling at the bottom. They were moving into timber partnerships about two years ago, just as Harvard, Yale, and...

    SPX options

Why not just trade the ES and be done with it? Swing trading S&P options is never a good idea - they only trade on the CBOE so the spreads are too wide to profit from. If you can profit from this strategy, though, then may God's love be with you.

    Crames ratings in the WC.......

On the Money is terrible and Melissa Francis needs to think about a new career - she is horrible! I hate those open-forum debate shows like Bulls and Bears - if I want to hear someone argue, I'll talk to my wife! :)
