Hey Kon, it took me 2 reads to fully grasp the strategy. I have to tell you that it looks good and very workable. However, it seems you need to have balls of ore or trade small positions (with lower returns) to be able to handle this kind of a trade.
I, personally wouldn't use this method...
Since FDO opened down with such a gap, I was expecting some sort of movement. I turned out to be a good trade that went bad. If anyone has suggestions pls don't be shy to shoot.

Since early morning I had a biased opinion of the market taking a tumble. This bias was enhanced by the lack of any upward movement when the ADP employment #'s came out better than expected.
I generally trade with some sort of bias, but then am also willing to change my trading...
"Todays flavor of the day is FAS"
Took a number of trades in FAS and kept to it. With time I am becoming more comfortable with this stock and that seems to be a good thing as it becomes more predictable. However, it is also creating a comfort zone and making me not want to venture out in...
Been there, done that!. Lingers on for a little more than 10 days :(. Hope you feel better sooner.
Lol!. Hooti, love the strength you can muster for humor whilst being sick. I suppose it's the $$$ that's making you feel better :p
I'd be curious to see how this trade turns out. NoD...
Neither. I have a list of ~15 stocks, 10 of which seem to have become permanent. The other 5 are "hot" stocks (stocks which for a short period catches everyones attention and is moving on high volume. Example: MCP - at present).
I will also look at stocks pre- and intra-market to see the...
Hi Puddles, Happy New Year and nice to see you have your own journal for 2011. I saw your chart for RIMM. I have traded RIMM previously, but wouldn't say I know it like the back of my hand. I see that you had a $0.10 stop. Isn't that too tight or do you have a different approach with your...
Ignore my excitement; I was referring to MCP which hit my stop and than went on for another ~$4.00. It would have been nice to have a $1000+ day on the first trading day of 2011. I traded the morning session only today, so I might have made it. Maybe, I might have lost it too :)
Hi Kon, I wanted to put a comment on that earlier. I usually have my charts set up (as default) with these moving averages. I use them most of the times, except for days like this. Since FAS gapped up by a point, these MA's were null and void and only came into use after 10:15-10:30am.
In...
This was my ~$1000+ baby!!! and my first $1000+ for 2011. That stop there was just letting me know that the market is still the boss!!!. However, reality hits and it is what it is.

I do what Shortie does as well, but I do see your point. In my trading, I will have an initial stop, but will move this accordingly. However, none of my stops are mental. If it hits, I'm out!. I suppose Shortie has greater discipline than me :)
Too much chop for today; I'm out!.
A very Happy New Year to you all and hope we make lots of money next year.
A big Thank You to all of you for having contributed here.

I had made a different trade in FAS early this morning (B/E). Occasionally, I make trades on instinct rather than what the market tells me...
