    BTC $500k, ETH $42k, ChainLink $1,400

Maybe but they'll never support BTC, ETH etc. They will not want trillions of dollars going into bitcoin over the next few years.

    BTC $500k, ETH $42k, ChainLink $1,400

Try convincing the US Govt or the Fed of that! Or pretty much any other Government on the planet for that matter. There are plenty of ways that the Govt could kill off crypto. I won't mention them here just in case. ;)

    BTC $500k, ETH $42k, ChainLink $1,400

True but most Governments and central banks around the world are anti-bitcoin. I'm not saying they will do anything about it but they certainly won't like it soaking up trillions of dollars that has no economic benefit.

    BTC $500k, ETH $42k, ChainLink $1,400

For me, it's not about the impact on USD, it's about what the Government wants people to do with their money. Spend it :):):) Save it in a bank :):) Invest in stocks, bonds, property :):) Stuff dollar bills under the mattress :( Buy gold :(:( Buy crypto :(:(:( BTC going from $47k ($0.75tn) to...

Governments and central banks will love that. :D

    Bitcoin Price Thread

Yep, I'm not sure Governments would stand by and let it reach $1m. That would give it a market cap of over $16 trillion. To put that figure in perspective, all the above ground gold reserves in the world are worth $11 trillion, and total US national debt is $26 trillion.

    Bitcoin Price Thread

I might be wrong but I'm guessing that only a small % of the 16.5 million bitcoins are actively traded, and this may go some way to explaining why it's so volative for something with a market cap of nearly $1 trillion. I also imagine that there are fewer institutions and professionals trading...

    Silver - XAGUSD - SLV

You're probably right. I certainly wish I'd dumped the silver a couple of years ago and bought BTC. Maybe in a couple more years I'll regret not doing it now. However, you and other hodlers should be thankful I haven't. If I bought BTC, it would be the kiss of death. :D

    Silver - XAGUSD - SLV

And even then you might not make a real profit (after adjusting for inflation). :D Although, in 2011, silver equaled it's previous ATH from 1980, it's a different story if you factor in inflation. It lost well over half it's spending power over that period...

I wonder what this chart will look like over the next few years. https://www.macrotrends.net/1437/sp500-to-gold-ratio-chart

    Silver - XAGUSD - SLV

$143/oz would be nice but I'd settle for less. I've been sitting on a wodge of silver now for 8 years that so far has been nothing but a terrible investment. If PMs can't perform in the current environment (QE, zirp, inflation, spiraling debt) then you have to wonder what would make them shine.

    Which way? Gold.

Yep, I fell for the BS (ZIRP/QE) about 8 years ago and sunk a chunk of change in precious metals. Still holding this now. If only I'd bailed out and stuck it in the Nasdaq or Bitcoin. Every year the "experts" keep saying the mother of all bull markets is coming but it never materialises. I...

    Which way? Gold.

Gold has been a bit of a rubbish investment. Silver even worse. https://www.macrotrends.net/2608/gold-price-vs-stock-market-100-year-chart And as for it's performance vs Bitcoin...

Commodities: up or down lumber steel gold?

Your post reminded me of something I stumbled on a few years ago. The system described here trades commodities making multi-year highs or lows. https://startupbros.com/make-lose-2000000-day-trading-system-story
