I agree.

Probably 20 years ago or maybe even longer I studied variations of this type of strategy and applied them with real money to real time trading. Eventually I came "within inches" of going completely bust. There are much better ways to trade the markets, you don't need to rely on such a strategy.

The more you say the less interest there will be. Back testing means nothing. Let's see some real trades with real money on the line with trades over a large trade sample size in several markets over different time frames. Until you accomplish this everything else is just talk.

Price forecast of how high or how low a market price will be usually hurts the results of traders. The real question should be how long will this current move last? In Crude Oil's case from the forecast below mid July is how long this move will last.

This is not a linear regression chart. It is a chart composed of non-linear data with a slope imposed upon it.
