If you are going to do it, my suggestion is nyse only stocks with spreads of only a penny...try something closely tied to s&p to get started so you can get a feel for the market mechanics of that particular equity...

My suggestion is to buy/sell on ARCA and if not available then route out from there...active traders understand this and fees will eat you alive if you don't watch how/where you preference your trades... If you work under the above example you should be getting more rebates than paying, hence...

Need some assistance...trading on REDI, not bad really like it for NYSE stocks..seem to get much better ARCA/NYSE executions on it.... Have been testing LASER with mixed results but they don't have the stop features I am looking for...as well market orders which a rearly use sometimes not get...

Sys, have you traded on Sterling? They have some stops, server side from what I was told and just read. As well, trailing abilities too. Your thoughts please?

Is there a current platform out there that allows server based stops AND allowing you to set a predfined trail with it? This can't be that difficult, and maybe I am missing something over the years but this would greatly benefit the trader, while giving the company/firm a real marketing pitch...
