If you do, could you post a current chart or a link? ...also if someone could point to emerging mkts spreads, that would be also greatly appreciated. :D thanks and i promise to post something worthwhile at some point.

    December Gold (GCZ7)

"I continue to believe that the commercial entities will engineer a selloff in gold likely to coincide with a rally in the USDX, declining stock markets and a significant correction in Crude Oil prices..." Care to share why you think the USD will rally? Thanks.

    Show me the money

Where's all the money? Who's got it? US? EU? JPN? China? Where's it going?

Old Fart Bubble thoughts...no, not gas, China. :)

I guess most of my seniors are too arthritic to type so here're some bullet points from the thread so far which I agree with - if anyone cares. - increased volatility - avg Joe (or mom) telling you about the mania - avg Joe quitting their jobs to trade - sympathetic moves in anything...

    What`s your biggest tradeing blunder?

It was a bad joke...nothing like finding a soulmate. I wasn't successful, I thought I was. Hence the divorce. I didn't think people would take my comment seriously, lol.

Old Fart Bubble thoughts...no, not gas, China. :)

Since we've got some old farts, I think this thread might be interesting. If you're an old fart and have seen bubbles come and go, what would you say is one thing (out of many perhaps) that would make you think a bubble is close to bursting? I am specifically talking about China right now...

    The Old Fart Thread

Didn't realize there were so many older traders here. Some of you are one foot in. :D I just meant that if you're 35 or older AND have survived this business for 10 or more years, one could be considered an "old fart" in this game. Could be. So if any of you want to continue this...

    The Old Fart Thread

Hi Boib, Well, we need to have a cutoff somewhere. :) FWIW, it was '87 that drove me to become a fulltime trader. My brother also jumped. First floor...lol, and no, he is not trading anymore.

    The Old Fart Thread

cstfx - btw...were you on the floor during Oct of '87? If so, maybe you can paint a picture for some of the newbies thinking about jumping on the next "sure" thing and say something about how "this time it's different"? Though I don't know anyone who committed suicide in '87, I do know...

    The Old Fart Thread

1989...in the middle of my "procedure" class in law school, I had a portable quotetrack (anyone remember those?). I lost like $10,000 of my tuition money and screamed like a little girl in class. The next week, I dropped out of law school and started trading fulltime. The best move of my...

    The Old Fart Thread

Ok, who's an old fart here? I consider anyone over 35 and been trading for more than 10 years (fulltime) an old fart. I am 42 this year (trading since 1988) but feel like I'm 32 again when I look at the mkts - China, some commodities etc... Let's get an old fart thread started and see if...

It's been a while, how is everyone? I'm almost free!

Been a few, hope people are doing well. I lost my original login id/pw so I had to re-register. Fitting, since the last time I was here, I was going through a divorce and had to start my personal life over too. It's good to see that the dysfunctional ET community is at each other...
