    $2,000 to $200,000 in 2020 at 2.00% per day.

As I alluded to up higher, I TRIED to trade with one E-mini contract on a $1000 account MANY times with a $500 margin requirement. Guess what happened? 100% of the time I eventually got a margin call. I only had $500 of wiggle room. DUMB. Now, with a $2000 account, I was able to trade 4...

    $2,000 to $200,000 in 2020 at 2.00% per day.

THANKS. If you read the introduction to my former journal, you will see how I got started with the "micro evangelizing." I have seen WAY to many traders blow up because they are in a big hurry for various reasons. This rush is absolutely deadly to proper trade selection and rational trade...

    $2,000 to $200,000 in 2020 at 2.00% per day.

Do I have a written plan and rules? 90% yes. I have posted much here and in my former journal on ET, but it will be good for me to consolidate the rules and post here in this journal. For ME, these are the main two: (1) Despite your idiotic unfounded biases, always trade what you see. Go...

    $2,000 to $200,000 in 2020 at 2.00% per day.

I use limit orders for entries about 2/3 of the time, regardless of volatility. Indeed, I do my best to not chase trades, but enter on pullbacks in a trend. In range conditions especially I enter with limit orders because I am going for just 4 to 5 ticks. For exits, I would say the ratio is...

    $2,000 to $200,000 in 2020 at 2.00% per day.

YES. And thanks for the vote of confidence. Unfortunately, I would love to say I "will" reach my 2% goal, or $200,000. But alas, it is but a goal. In fact, it is the biggest one I have set so far. If I reach it, I may just decide to retire and trade full time. Nevertheless, I am very close to...

Great question. I started with 4 micros, and have added 1 micro now. I am close to $3000 now and will soon be trading with 6 micros. In my table, I list the micros as .4 and .5, in order to be consistent.

I have never met Linda Raschke, but she seems to really know what she is doing. I enjoyed this profile and reading about her thinking surrounding the opening and the close. https://www.worldtopinvestors.com/linda-bradford-raschke-investor-profile/

    $2,000 to $200,000 in 2020 at 2.00% per day.

So well said!!! It is complex. And I agree that trying to figure out what game the big boys are playing each day is one of the biggest keys. While I didn't clean house with longs this week, I also didn't get slaughtered trying to short everything that moved. So I am making progress...

    $2,000 to $200,000 in 2020 at 2.00% per day.

I kept the trading light last week. I got my BS degree in Microbiology, and try as I might, with all the news about the corona virus, I just can't seem to get the bears out of my head. So I am trying to be prudent. Flights cancelled to China, quarantine, production declines, tight global...

Haha. I use both. This was the biggest single snowfall this season so far in Salt Lake City.

No trades today. Too much work and 15" of snow to shovel. Thanks everyone for the great comments over the weekend. I will reply soon.

    $2,000 to $200,000 in 2020 at 2.00% per day.

@Seaweed Thanks for the encouragement. I agree that a "good" trade is one where the rules were followed. But along the same line of reasoning, I had some "bad" trades on Friday. While I don't want to give any fuel to those who are eager to see me fail, I need to shine a bright critical...

    $2,000 to $200,000 in 2020 at 2.00% per day.

Thanks. Good thinking. This "small" loss is not distressing to me, but seeing that I could not seem to get "go short" to even register in my brain is what I am curious about, after all these years of being primarily much better as seeing shorts than longs. Fortunately, I followed my rules and...

Here is Peter's free weekend video. Peter Reznicek is awesome. He explains that the late day spike on Thursday that had ZERO follow-through on Friday should have been the clue to a bigger drop on Friday.

    $2,000 to $200,000 in 2020 at 2.00% per day.

My first losing day. Down $66. And I know it will not be my last. But I will keep trying to hold my losses small. And I will just pull the plug if I get to a 4% daily max loss on the account. I say 4% because this way I can adjust the dollar value as the account grows. My stop on...

    $2,000 to $200,000 in 2020 at 2.00% per day.

I was up $60 today taking some shorts on a big down day, but then I decided for a bit more, and started to nibble on longs near yesterday's low, and what I thought was today's low. MISTAKE!!! I ended up down for the day. I will post the damage when I get the AMP report. It could have been...

    $2,000 to $200,000 in 2020 at 2.00% per day.

What another wild day with massive swings. Tried to hold a bit longer. $78.41 with 15 trades = $5.23 net per trade = ~10 ticks per contract traded (micros only). Yesterday it was 6, so this is an improvement.

    $2,000 to $200,000 in 2020 at 2.00% per day.

Made $98 today. I made 31 trades. This gives me a net gain of about $3.20 per trade. (My historic norm is about 10 to 20 trades per day) @Laissez Faire here we go... Some of my trades are on the MES, but most are on the MNQ, MYM, and M2k which all have a 50 cent tick value, so $3.20 gives...

    $2,000 to $200,000 in 2020 at 2.00% per day.

Today was one of the toughest trading days for me in a long time. The 2 pm ET FOMC rate decision put things in an odd state before and then after. I thought things would stay in a tight range and then be volatile after, but it was reversed. They plunged and then rebounded, then after the...

I have used MultiCharts for about 5 years for manual trading and like it. If I were into algos, I would appreciate it even more. It has lots of nice features. I have experimented with different algos at times, and I like the genetic algorithm feature which shaves off about 90% of the...
