    Iterative Refinement

Ok, I'm out here in the garage without at TV, so what happen news wise that triggered the run-up starting at 10:50?

Now there is a little confusion. You say the channel existed, so it should have been drawn, however, it was not CONFIRMED, so the channel lines should NOW be deleted and a new Pt3 anticipated? I think that is what you are saying.

Pt1 to PT2 Increasing volume, decreasing volume, lateral Pt2 to Pt 3 Increasing volume, decreasing volume, lateral Pt 3 into channel Increasing dominant volume

That's right, it's an outside bar, so the bar would be black, not red....... and as such, not the increasing red volume needed for the confirmation of a pt3 down channel.... Thanks!

I'm not afraid to ask, I just don't because I respect everyones right to post what they feel is right for them. Everytime I have asked for help, I have gotten help. While at times it was not the answer I wanted, it was the answer I needed. Everyone here is helping to help others and better...

Yes, thank you. The walk through is of great help to understand the thought process bar by bar.

    Iterative Refinement

Ok, Ok, Ok, what I saw was a Pt3, but the increase in volume was not on the pt 3 bar, it came later on the third bar after I changed the bar color from black to red because that bar made a lower low, soooo, the 10:05 bar was really a red volume bar instead of a black, which confirmed the pt3...

    Iterative Refinement

Ok, thanks....I see the outside bar at the top that should stay a color shift to red, but would you please point out the IBGS so I know what is really supposed to look like. (can it be recognized on a static chart?)

    Iterative Refinement

Thanks Guavaman, So, my initial definition of the IBGS was in the right direction. The bar in question, the 10:15 opened, initally headed lower making a lower low, then reversed and closed above the open. As a consequence the color began as red then shifted to black as the price went above...

    Iterative Refinement

So, the IBGS is based on changing VOLUME not PRICE?
  20. S

    Iterative Refinement

Ok, I thought that the 10:15 bar did make a lower low and then climb up to close above the open???? My understanding of what a IBGS is could be in error. sscott
