Scalping and hedging is allowed with hotforex, Im bad in math but I think they open and close at GMT+3 when DTS applies, if not then its GMT +2. I hope i got it right, but better yet you can contact their support just to be sure if there is other inquiries.

the question is quite broad, you can buy gold ang try selling it at a higher price, specially if the wife got lots of friends :) another way is to trade metals, its somewhat like trading forex, though i trade with hotforex but never tried trading metals :)

taxes are complicated really and im not sure how it works, but to scratch the surface I think it depends on the law of taxation in your country, for example i trade with hotforex and im from the philippines, what i earn from forex i receive as a whole!! the only fee i pay for is money transfer...

I haven't traded with alpari but i think they are a decent broker, but if you are thinking of going ofshore then you might as well try hotforex, they are really convenient if you ask me and best of luck!!

automated tradding can only be good if you are the one who created it with a good system and strategy and a good programer you should be. so the bottom line is for now you have to focus on manual which is better for you and maybe after a couple of years you can go automated! :D

:) yup the secret to earn a lot from forex, is not a BIG CAPITAL (though its a plus) but you need to invest a lot of time to learn and study forex trading and its market, learn different strategies, different pairs, and one of the most important things are discipline. :) this might help you...

I think with regards to demo accounts, you can set it up on mt4, the leverage and starting balance! :)
