    penny orders in IB

On the CBOE, the SPX, SPXW, OEX and XEO accept spreads in nickel increments only (the options themselves trade in nickel increments under $3). The individual legs of the spreads may be filled at penny prices, but the spread price will total to a nickel price. The VIX options do not trade in...

I have heard www.secondmarket.com but I know nothing about the company or how it works.

    penny orders in IB

What product was it? Some do not trade in pennies such as OEX SPX and VIX (although VIX spreads do trade in pennies)

Things to consider before exercising my options??

I think you are the best one to decide whether to exercise or leave these options. You know the company better than anyone here. Do you think it is a good long term investment. How important is the money needed to buy the stock? If you could easily sell the stock, you would of course do it...

Things to consider before exercising my options??

Before I could give any advice, You say this is a private company, I am assuming you will get stock in the private company when you exercise your options. Is this stock tradable at all? Will the company buy it from you at a certain price? Are you committed to holding the stock for a certain...

If you buy VIX puts or calls, what happens after expiration day?

Really nothing to postulate. The VIX is cash settled. Any options you have are converted to cash at the settlement price on expiration. Its that easy.

    Let's talk about spread execution

The reason I ask is each broker has different criteria for different products on how to handle a spread trade. For example certain brokers may send all spreads under 10 in the SPX to the COB (complex order book). This might get a better or faster fill then if is sent directly to their floor...

    TOS/TDA down again. :(

Just wanted to comment here as some people are annoyed at Rmorse for "trolling". I found out about his firm through this message board. Although I ended up staying in a current arrangement instead of going through him, I think he presents a very viable option that many traders do not know...

Agnc call spread, is the risk reward good?

As of now, your Dec calls will not be exercised, but you should exercise your long calls for the dividend. This will leave you synthetically short the Dec 29 puts ( long the Dec 29 buywrite). If you are comfortable with that position great, but if you want out I would suggest you simply get...

SPX Options on C2 Decision June 6th

The Quarterly and Weekly SPX PM settlement will continue to trade on the CBOE on their Hybrid system. This is an interesting decision as these are the same products (as the monthly SPX PM being traded on the C2.) This will make spreads difficult or impossible to trade between weekly...

    Position Question\Advice needes

It doesn't matter how the position started, it is worth a certain amount now. You are now short deep puts against short stock. Since you already are long the 135 calls, you have no risk. You are in a position called a reversal. The price of a dividend is written into the puts you are...

    Position Question\Advice needes

You would still pay the dividend, but the puts would drop by the same amount. You have no risk with this position other then being synthetically short the 135 calls. If you insist on taking the position off, as I said earlier, do it as a spread. All other posters suggestions to buy other...

    Position Question\Advice needes

His account would be debited for the dividend, but his short puts would decrease in value offsetting what he pays out in the dividend.
