i agree with all of the above comments, i remember when i first started investing it was and still is very difficult to be diversified with 10,000. Split it up for sure but look for good long term bargins, you'll chop your account to pieces trying to trade it. Hence the long term hold on uyg...

how long term are you? if you are super long term and you think the financials won't be blown into the water, buy UYG. double exposure, 5 years from now will be massive.

not to jump in on your thread joe - but a pretty decent book to start off learning resistance / support levels and pivot points is a book called "the logical trader" by mark fisher. i've found its worth way more then the the 65usd i paid for it.

true dat, we had a few problems today with stickies etc. normally i just remove them from the lvl 2 and keep going quite sucky when its arca tho. didnt have the lvl 2 flipping problem like you did today, but i certainly have had my fill of them.

u can get rid of that random tick by going right clicking and editing the candle info - but yes i agree its a pain in the ass, hence why i use esignal. the api isn't great for programming as im discovering but for manual trading its not to bad, doesnt seem to crash allllllll that often. :P
