Now who didn't see that last post coming a mile away!
:D
Spike and Zdreg! I will continue to delete/edit your posts if you continue to insult each other. If you want to get into a little off topic insult fest then take it to PM's.
I don't have a problem with a thread taking a slight change in direction for the benefit of education. However when it becomes a flame fest as it was 'beginning' to become, or it gets too far off course, then I will draw the line. It is not fair to the thread starter and his original intentions.
What do you Chicagoans have against the City of Baltimore. First you send them Albert Belle and ruin their baseball team for 5 years. Now you send them Sammy Sosa. Are you trying to shut down their franchise? :D
As Ae_trading pointed out, IMO you will need to learn to stay in 'select' trades a bit longer. You can still stick to your scalping strategy as a whole, but let the occassional trade run. For example, if you're in a trade that is slightly profitable and you see that the futures are starting to...
You don't need any help. You are already doing the best thing possible with the situation, and that is informing the trading community by posting here. If you stop just one person from paying him then you will have been successful. More than one is a bonus.
You could try this calculator to calculate pivots:

This was the first site that I got using Google, "Pivot Calculator". There are many others.
PS, the website that you linked above, is normally very reliable and provides great information. I...
Increase size slowly. If you're trading 500 shares, go to 600 etc... There is no rush to jump from 500 to 1000 or 1000 to 2000. If an increase in size makes you change your trading then go back to where you feel comfortable. As you said, the market will always be there and it is more important...
I would think that the hassle of setting up multiple accounts, with different brokers in different parts of the world, would be much more than the hassle of possibly having to deal with IB customer service. I would just go with IB and make sure that I have the local phone number on hand to get...
Not Kramer. He would cash in his potential SBUX profits for a round of free coffee's.
Not Seinfeld, as someone said earlier, he would not be able to pull the trigger.
Not George, although like many ET'ers, he would claim to be a Master Trader (Master of His Domain), but in the end would be...
Baruch, please don't take this as criticism as it's not intended to be, but did you notice that this thread is 2 1/2 years old? I have noticed that you have a tendency to open old threads a lot, and reply as if they were started yesterday. I'm not sure if you are aware of this. :confused...
If using XP, will a restore back to a clean point get rid of any Adware software that just got installed?
I have found that anytime I get a sniff of something being wrong with my laptop, restoring back to a few weeks before seems to get rid of any problems.
PS, Maverick. I also picked up a...
As someone who is folically challenged, I have to disagree with this. Flaunt it while you have it. You never know, if or when, it will no longer be there. :(
Practice, practice, practice. It's the only way. On hills, practice using your parking brake. You will eventually get a 'feel' for your car and know exactly when to release the brake. Personally, I would never buy an automatic car.
I believe realitytrader.com offers a refund of the monthly subscription if the calls don't make money. The one problem I have with that, is that if it gets to the last day or two of the monthly cycle and if the calls for that cycle have not made money, there may be a temptation on the part of...
I am not any kind of expert with Excel, but I think you could probably have a 2 column worksheet where the first column would be the date/time and the second column would be your text. Every time you go down to a new row there should be a way for the current time to register in the first column...
Yes, thank you.
The reason that I asked, (if it wasn't obvious) is that some chatrooms would record this as a full win on the first trade ($2), and a small loss on the second trade (-$0.10). I wanted to give you the opportunity to show that this is something that you don't do when recording...
