A day in the life of a real trader

Ok nice to see my stop worked as resistance to stop this upmove. as i mentioned in my first post i always place my actual stop a few ticks above the technical level i have chosen. Now that the trade has seen a firm rejection from these highs i have moved my stop to sctach. if price gets back up...

A day in the life of a real trader

As we discussed earlier i was waiting for a retrace on this Euro and have managed to get entry at 13601 to go short. Ive got a real tight stop on this because frankly, I don't trust this euro and if i am wrong i will want out quick.

Nice. I'm an intraday trader so unfortunately no stops for me is not an option. I'm expecting a small retrace also to around the 136 level where i hope to catch this euro for an extended down move. We've had negative pmi readings this morning for euro and there is new home sales data at 3pm so...

yeah Ras its a tough call around here imo. As you know im seriously bearish this euro and i have expecting it make new year lows since beginning of June. Where is your stop for this Euro long? Personally i think anything below 13567 19th low and it might be time to call it a day.

Great push lower on this euro. Ive been stopped out so hopefully this means i can get back into bear mode on it which is what i feel most comfortable doing.

Ok my stop is now at scratch on this euro long. I have lost patience with it and pivot is proving to be a stubborn resistance level. My risk appetite for this trade has vanished. if price does not break above pivot then i will not want to be involved in this. Have just been exited while...

A day in the life of a real trader

Good morning, Just been entered long the euro strategy i posted yesterday. I'm not as confident in this trade as i was yesterday due to the level being tested overnight but we have a very quiet news day ahead of us so wouldn't expect too much movement.

Right, day after FOMC and was hoping for a more hawkish tone. Not dovish and bullish. The fed's "commitment to maintaining a highly accomodative approach" didn't feel the currency markets with much confidence - and foreseeable low rates is good news for equities which is why we hit all time...

Yep there's the 38.2 fib level of the daily hi-lo just below 137 but would be very surprised if we get back up there. We tested that level a day after Junes ECB conference but price clearly couldn't sustain above it hence the sell off. Personally with all this new fwd guidance Drahgi has...

A day in the life of a real trader

Missed my entry on this euro by 2 ticks. 1.3585 has been a solid resistance level and was expecting it to pop higher but surely it has to go down now from here back to test 135? I don't have a lot confidence in my entry holding if we get back up there now so am probably going to take my orders...

A day in the life of a real trader

I don't plan on trading the FOMC tonight as I find the action to be too whippy and am not expecting the FED to make any changes to their taper commitment of 10bn per month. Much rather come in 2mw morn and catch a retrace once ive digested the news and seen the markets initial reaction to it...

US cash open in 20 mins and I have my eye on this euro strategy. Short at 1.3593 with stop above 1.3603. Target 1 at 1.3563 and target 2 at 1.3543.

Good question - maybe pro is the wrong word as theoretically everyone is a trade away from getting wiped out. I guess am more accurately a full time trader. I think ive chosen the wrong day to start this journal as I expect these markets are going to be pretty quiet leading into the FOMC...
