Hey Bear, does button trader have a static dome? Have you ever tried NT? I really like NT but it isn't very flexible once you have entered a trade. Unable to apply a different predefined strategy etc.

I use IB, Esignal for data, Ensign for charting and Ninja Trader for order management/automation. I'm pretty happy with the combo but if anyone has any recommendations or comments I'd be curious to hear them.

neke... I would advise reading up on risk management. Kinda funny that you don't even understand what he means when he says he only risks 1.25% per trade... but not surprising. Good luck to you but you may have better odds at the craps table.

I am using Ensign Windows charting. I really like the power and control in the software and would like to incorporate some of the alerts I've programmed into my trading. I am hesitant to go to Tradestation because they seem so commercial I almost feel I am surely gonna get fleeced. But again...

Thanks frost. I did a minor in programming but don't want to re-invent the wheel. Everything is telling me I should just switch to Tradestation. It looks like the only decent canned option where I wouldn't have to go to great lengths to set-up and tweak my strategies. Thanks for your input.

Rough day today. Made $100 on 60 YM contracts. Made some mistakes. Gave away 20 points. Should have been a nice day. Need to be more patient when I don't have a position and more apt to take profits when I'm in a position.

I always focus on risk first. Before I take any setup I look at the stop loss point, take the trade, then decide the target. In reality I don't have too many expenses. Been taking a hard look at my monthly budget. Gonna have to be lean and mean. Also my girlfriend is able to help out a lot...
