Day trading pattern and ISE / PHLX options

I imagine it is pretty simple. exposure is limited and if you have balance enough the system will let you open the position.. Also the system shows me that next level is selling naked calls and that requires convertion your account to margin account. so I am sure the customer service girl...

Day trading pattern and ISE / PHLX options

EUU is quoted on ISE as an option symbol.... may be this is how it works on practice - brokers open you a margine account anyway for their own reasons. but technically speaking - you are buying an option contract and pay outright. you dont need margin to get long in options, do you? you...

Day trading pattern and ISE / PHLX options

Just found on old good wikipedia: "A FINRA (NASD) rule that applies to any customer who buys and sells a particular security in the same trading day (day trades), and does this four or more times in any five consecutive business day period; the rule applies to margin, but not to cash...

IB commissions. Anyone uses their Ideal Pro

I dont get how they calculate comms. They say 0.2 bp * trade value, min 2.50 per order. and in the example they calculate monthly volumes. but what 'per order' does mean? if you trade 1 lot which is 25K (right?) the 25000 * 0.00002 = 0.5 hence the minimum applies and you pay 2.50 for such...

Data feed with RT and historical options data?

I called DTN IQFeed (which is regarded quite high in futures trading) and they apparently have no history for expired options contracts which is really stupid I think. Is there proper data feed with API or DDE who has at least a year of all options chains and have decent real time data...

Day trading pattern and ISE / PHLX options

Could someone please tell if FX options traded on ISE and PHLX (like FXE or EUU) which arent really options on FX spot but some kind of ETFs I think.... Are they under the US day trading pattern rule i.e. you have to have 25K balance to be able to trade more than once a week?
