Anyone else having a hard time?

I just replied to an earlier post of yours in this thread, and said basically the same thing you stated above. I trade ER2. I primarily scalp. One thing I am adding to my arsenal is spreading. I am noticing that the spread between ER2 and ES is more volatile than the outright moves this...

Anyone else having a hard time?

Remember the summer months are always a difficult trade. Charts make the summer months look active, but in reality the summer has thin volume. This is when the big boys will take a vacation and thus the market personality will change a bit. I trade the index futures. The summer is a good...

    Er2 Market Calls & Commentary

At around 8:05am CST someone march ER2 down about 3 points with 200 lots. Did anyone see this? For about one or two minutes someone took ER2 down from 685 to 682.5 by showing 200 lots five deep on the offer side and marching it down one tick at a time. Then they pulled their offers and...

Define the word SYSTEM as it relates to your trading

The reason I bring this topic up is I am a discretionary trader. I have not automated any of my trading. In your opinion can I describe my trading rules as a "system"? Or should the word system only be used in regards to trading that is automated?

Define the word SYSTEM as it relates to your trading

In your opinion a discretionary traders "trading rules" cannot/should not be considered a system? Basically if the decision is derived from the brain it cannot be called a system? A system in your opinion is coded. It is 100% automated. The only discretion involved is in its design?

Define the word SYSTEM as it relates to your trading

The reason I wanted to start this thread is the word SYSTEM is used often on this board. It is a term that is assumed to be understood and easily defined. I think it is overused and vague. I could be wrong. Maybe everyone does have the same definition for the word system and I am the...

Which came first the chart or the tape?

No. I just look at the order books. I think it would very useful to have volume #'s, but I have been successful with the setup I have and I guess I am AFRAID of changing it.

Cost Structure for CME Futures Traders

I just spoke to a trader who is trading thru IB. This trader is trading +2000 sides a month. He is trading thru IB. So he is paying $4800 a month in trading fees. At a good clearing firm he could be paying .25 a side commissions(payed to clearing firm). So .25 plus 1.14 clearing fees for...

    Warning to all CME traders!!!!!

I assume you are joking. However, your point is a good one. I trade ER2 and it is very useful to know who is running the market. In my opinion, not having the counterparty information will be a disadvantage.

    Warning to all CME traders!!!!!

Remember counterparty information is not provided anymore. This will change the way the indexes trade. The big boys who used it will have to change their trading models. Do you agree it will change the trade?????
