Dbfx Is Fxcm ,and They Will Rather Lie About It ..

The scam is that when asked by potential customers whether there is a relationship with FXCM they don't admit it, even though there is no doubt at all that there is a relationship. When you open dbFX's trading platform and connect to the servers you are connecting to FXCM's servers. That fact...

    class action against FXCM

But can you get in with stop orders in the increasingly popular "news straddle" style? I bet you'd see massive slippage if you tried that at 0829 EST on NFP Friday.

And there are no ballooning spreads with Globex Euro-FX?

Dbfx Is Fxcm ,and They Will Rather Lie About It ..

I think the final word must be that dbFX is a scam.

The mini account is a white label for a bucket shop. It is not an ECN.

All news is bad news for gold

That was the most sensible gold article I've ever read.

All news is bad news for gold

Inflation figures go up = more rate hikes = dollar goes up = gold goes down Inflation figures go down = no need for a hedge against inflation = gold goes down I never trade gold but the apocalyptic rantings of gold bugs always make me laugh. :D

Deutsche Bank and Credit Suisse? Why don't they just provide some names like Lava do.

    ABN AMRO launches Marketindex

Who exactly expects it to be available in other countries shortly? Have they indicated that it will become available for non-residents of Germany? Now that Oanda have completely lost the plot when it comes to widening spreads around new releases it's worth looking at this as an alternative.

Deutsche Bank's dbFX - new FX broker option

Here's a chat I had with a dbFX rep: "Me: Is dbFX in any way linked to FXCM? dbFX Sales and Client Services: not to my knowledge dbFX Sales and Client Services: your dealing with DB AG dbFX Sales and Client Services: your trading with DB, your funds are held at DB dbFX Sales and Client...

Deutsche Bank's dbFX - new FX broker option

It seems pretty obvious that dbfx has nothing to do with FXCM. Apart from the inherent unlikelihood of the world's number one fx bank acting as a white label for a shitty little bucket shop like fxcm, there is plenty on the dbfx website to indicate that dbfx is a serious player: "Deutsche...

    1GB vs 2 GB RAM

I found the discussion useful. I was thinking of making my next computer purchase 2GB but was interested to hear that this might actually give a worse performance on Windows XP. By the way, someone mentioned Windows 2000 - are there any benefits to running Windows 2000 over Windows XP? Also what...

Do you know the minimum account sizes for those two? I'd like to try them out but if there's a £1 million minimum or something like that I won't even bother.

Deutsche Bank's dbFX - new FX broker option

I read on another forum that some guy who trades with dbfx contacted them to ask them if they were connected with fxcm, but dbfx said they have nothing to do with fxcm, they just use the same software developer. In other words, the prices come directly from Deutsche Bank, not from FXCM. This...

FORGET ABOUT OANDA, new kid on the block is..

MB is very customisable so no problem with one click dealing - look at your preferences! Also has keyboard short cuts. You certainly dont get Oanda's shitty 15 pip cable spreads.

    MB Trading Down

Look at the minimum system requirement for running MB. You need 256MB of RAM. I tried running MB on a lower spec laptop and had connection issues but on my desktop I have no significant issues. What are the specs of the system you are using?

    Trading and Internet latency

From doing a bit more research I think my ping times to the US are fairly good. Ping times between backbones between UK and US are about 60 ms so total ping times of 100 ms are pretty good. Times are of course limited by the speed of light. I do notice that IB has the option of a dedicated line...

    Trading and Internet latency

That pre-news price straddle strategy can work well but there's a big risk of getting slipped by your broker. Is this not an issue with CME futures? I'm working on getting a market order in before the price starts moving. Internet lag would completely screw that strategy up.

    Trading and Internet latency

This seems the most appropriate forum for this topic. As someone who trades the news, it's important that there is as little latency (ping times) as possible when the news goes from the news wire to my computer and again when I hit buy or sell and the order goes from my computer to my broker. So...
