    COT thread

I thought it was 07 when GS had all the wheat derivs? Doesn't really matter anyway. Yeah the COT data is obv. very subjective, good idea on the entry of it all into a database.

Where would you live if you can make more than $200000 per year from stock mark.

Wyoming has no state income tax, but if you are into hustle, bustle, and people it's probably not the place for you. A ton of neat nature and aesthetically pleasing places.

    COT thread

Today was the first time I had actually seen the new format. I am going to make it a point to go take notes at the weekly report. Although I was under the impression that the report came out every friday after the close? This one is dated the 6th?

Could someone please explain these (real) soybean spread quotes?

I often trade the def. spreads and at points during the day you will just have "mis-pricing" It doesn't effect the value of the spread per the b/a of the spread but on paper it looks as if an anomaly has occured. But it's no arb. I'll give you an example. h10/11 cocoa is trading according to...

Those spreads are really coming in, it took me about ten times of getting stopped out but I think I really nailed some good prices. Staying up and babysitting has been detrimental to my sleep, but worth it in the profits. I hope everybody has a good weekend, is ICE open Sunday/Monday.

Ha I hear that about the open, I have been staying up because I've got a pretty large spread position on and I stay up to kind of monitor it for a few hours and defend it if I have to. I missed the opening bell because my comp wouldn't start and it was down 50 ticks in two minutes! I tell you...

    Soft commodities

Sure I do agree with that, but look at the size of the corn and wheat crops. Very strong carry in both markets, hard to mount an earth shattering rally with 160 bushel corn. Some guys in IA got 300 bushel!

    Soft commodities

Look back at the prices of said commodities during 08, we had record crops for every commodity (minus beans) and that really can inhibit a massive rally. Although beans are still much much higher on a ratio and historical basis versus beans and corn.

Evidence of Algo Trading on CL

I know "stiff" is ambiguous, I guess when somebody said herky jerky that kind of describes it. I am tired and am having a hard time quantifying what I want to say, so I will try again tommorow. Good night all.
