Well, could have been an erroneous order... but is it also possible that it was a calculated move on a low volume day like today by a few who could do it? knowing the nature of this business, who knows?! :D

Can you guys please suggest a few NYSE stocks that are consistently suitable for intraday trading? I am not a stock trader but would like to backtest a system on several NYSE stocks that are consistently active with good volume during the day. Thank you in advance. :cool:

What is your average profit per contract? I would like to start a poll, although this may have been done before! For successful ES "daytraders", I would appreciate if you participate in this poll. This may give us all an idea about different daytrading strategies and holding time that ES...

Nana Trader, You won't be able to have dual monitor if your laptop doesn't have a built in video card, I think.. Some new laptops do have dual monitor capability but the old ones don't.

QCharts simply dies flat when market gets volatile!! :eek:

I also think interest rate levels should be decided by the free markets based on supply and demand. No one can spin the economy, the rate manipulation can only delay things imo..

Forgot to mention during that 5 or 6 minutes ES went 2.75 points against my position!:mad: That said I still think IB is one of the best brokers out there!!

my TWS got disconnected at about 9:56 this morning while I had an open position and I could not get connected until 10:02 My internet connection was fine, during that period I also tried to open TWS on my back up dial up internet using a different computer and was unable to do so fwiw..

Also when travelling I prefer to use Bloomberg live radio on the web fwiw... http://www.bloomberg.com/media/radio/listen.html

I would also agree that Bloomberg TV is definitely a much better choice. Their coverage of the financial markets seems much more professional compare to CNBC IMO.

called IB help and reported the problem, they said they will look into that, and if they receive a few calls they would look into it right away!... option zero on their phone menu if you care to report...
