hey guys a quick question, i couldnt find anything on IB's site or here, i have a margin act at ib, if i wnated to start trading futures do i need to open a new act just for futures or can i just somehow upgrade my act to futures along side of my margin act? thnx for any help.

just a simple quick explanation if possible, when submitting an order for a nasdaq stock through IB Best, if its outside of the current mkt i see it go to Island and i guess that is where its represented, now how often does IB try to reroute the order in case a mkt maker steps up to the curent...

Do you have to be a tapereader to succesfully trade NYSE? i have read the debates and arguments which is better to trade- etc... but it seems to me that the intraday charts are much more harder to read/analize for potential trades on nyse than on nasdaq, i guess it goes with the crowd psychology...

pretty much right on the money, the q's print 500k blocks left and right, moving 100k of that should not be that big of a problem, especially if you swing it. problem is like you said, managing that size and getting the buying power to be able to hold such position.
