I see what you are saying. The code is always "adapting" I guess you could say every bar. So the stop will cancel itself at the close of every bar and then "re-adjust" I guess you could say. To better answer your question it is unknown. I do understand obviously what you are getting at...

Most of my intraday programs are long only relating to futures contracts. I might just not have a good eye for shorting though. I have 1 combo (l & s) - rest are buy programs. I think it might have a lot to do with your outlook in general and not anything too particular.

I was thinking the same thing. I have something similar for bond spreads (vix) but the cost of entering the market is just too great for me.

No, not in my experience, but I really should say it depends on what pairs. I had a system with GBP/AUD and the spread on IB cannot be beat. So I would say for the least liquid pairs (or my small sample that I can reference) IB is where you want to go. But you should consider their data...
