I'd like to become a better trader

Reading the book clearly didn't help much. I tried going long a few times today. Greed is clouding my judgment. I don't want to miss a huge move to the upside and keep going long only to get stopped out. Instead I'm missing a huge move to the downside that I would be getting if I were trading...

I'd like to become a better trader

I'm missing my short entries again today because I'm expecting a bounce. I keep waiting for a long entry and missing all the good short trades.... It's hard to trade what you see, not what you think :(

I'd like to become a better trader

P&L +3.4 points It's very difficult to make only a few trades a day and not overtrade. It's especially hard not to get greedy on a day like today, when the move is huge and I feel like I'm missing out. I need to remember that it's the consistency that matters, not winning a lottery...

I'd like to become a better trader

P&L -10 points I've been forcing trades the whole afternoon today. the market is in a tight range and I know that my strategy doesn't work well during conditions like that, but greed clouds my judgment. I'm afraid to miss a move. I need to afraid to trade in congestion instead.

I'd like to become a better trader

P&L 0.0 points I mixed up a bit in the beginning of the day, was long but moved my stop too soon and got stopped out and then reentered too early, so instead of making money, lost money, but made this up in the afternoon. I've learned my lesson to wait for a proper pull back and not move...

LF, you are correct, way to many trades. I'm working on that. You said it exactly, I was focusing on the bars ignoring the levels. I'm planning to focus more on the levels and look at the bars in context. and of course not worrying about missing a move...

Why Fat is the Preferred Fuel for Human Metabolism

very interesting information, thanks for posting the links, everybody needs to read that before making their dietary decision. It's a lot of information, but worthwhile reading for the open minded.

Why Fat is the Preferred Fuel for Human Metabolism

I think the problem with most studies is that they don't differentiate fats. There are good fats and there are bad fats, but most people in US eat "bad" fats, highly processed, hydrogenated, etc. so eliminating them from the diet does show beneficial results. Is there any population study...

Why Fat is the Preferred Fuel for Human Metabolism

Yes, but to what degree? If you eat a bowl of rice, what's your sugar after? If you eat a piece of meat, what's your sugar after? Do you not think the sugar levels would be drastically different? Let's argue if this matters later, but the fact is any carbs increase your blood sugar much more...

Why Fat is the Preferred Fuel for Human Metabolism

running_bare, what sugar level do you think is normal 1/2 hour after eating and 1 hour after. thanks. I think sugar=all carbs argument didn't get much attention and reply on this thread. Can anybody disprove these claims by running_bare: 1. all carbs, including complex carbs, increase...

I do need to make some rule on a limit loss per day. I think 6-8 points should be my max loss per day. I think I do need to take a day off after a big loosing day. I haven't read "Pit Bull by Marty Schwartz". I will check this out. thanks LF.
