TrackTrade Vs IB: Could've saved 27%

No ECN fees. I have experiences with TrackData, they are very, really VERY reliable. One outage I noticed in 3 or 4 years, plus 2 or 3 times transmission delays. They do not put much effort into new developments, but have a rock-solid old-fashion style system.

TrackTrade Vs IB: Could've saved 27%

A 500 shares order is $5 at IB and $2.5 at TT. That saves actually money, doesn't it ?

The S&P is looking very toppy

Now are you guys talking about futures or cash options ? I thought JS talked about cash ... these did expire now.

    Itch and Ouch....

It is $400 now. They must have raised it, maybe due to INET merger

    Itch and Ouch....

Uhhmm... I say: not worth. Both ESignal and TrackData are also stable as hell... :) I do not remember the exact value how much it costs (ITCH feed), but I thought it was $300 / month. For a direct exchange feed, this is next to nothing, but do you really need it ??? The speed...

    Itch and Ouch....

yes, do you want to write a trading app (ouch) ? if you only want market data (itch), this is an expensive way. I think it was several hundrets..., much cheaper if you choose myTrack or esignal etc...

    Should we self-insure?

TGregg, your original question is still very valid. Even if the exchange would excuse you from e.g. 70% of a 600 point loss, you would still face a whopping -9000$$$ per contract which sums up to a nice quarter million on 6 cars. This has always been my reason for which I like short...

    Should we self-insure?

Huh ???? Where do you get your Numbers from, man ? The N225 was down 8.9% at the open !

Really no pushing today ? Uhh... I forgot, was not into red today...

    Should we self-insure?

The exchanges have to protect integrity of the financial systems. Such a thing never happened, so it is difficult to speculate about real-situation solutions. I am a licensed and during some theoretical seminars we were taught of such possibilities, however, not in depth. A...

    Should we self-insure?

Tgregg, in the case you describe it is highly likely that the futures exchanges would find an "arbitration regulation", where the shorts would not get their full profits paid out. (instead, only a fraction)

    The S&P looks very toppy

Well, I wanted to ignore this, but one thing to be said: Romeo/JS will keep this thread "hot" as long as the market is < 1120, so that many visitors see this "accurate prediction". He would probably try to make it dry out or replace it with another thread if market would go up (which...

    The S&P looks very toppy

Geez, really awful stuff here... I still think that Romeo/James etc guy is still around here since he wants to gather some following morons, maybe he wants to start a paid website or chat room.

Market Profilers - help please (CQG)

If the BOBL moves, it is pretty sure that there are no intraday gaps. Liquidity is so high, It is safe to assume that the "holes" are only in your data, not the real T&S.

Market Profilers - help please (CQG)

No, I strongly assume both vendors are directly connected to the Eurex Data Vendor Feed CEF. It is a Eurex problem. You cannot fix it.

Market Profilers - help please (CQG)

Yes, Eurex Bullshit. The CEF datafeed. It does not disseminate real-time trading data like normal exchanges. Instead, Snapshots, which may vary from vendor to vendor. Current Interval for Eurex: 1.7sec. Planned Interval for EurexUS: 1 sec. Really the greates BS since electronic...

Comments on eSignal 7.x and above

Thanks Jay. The CEF stuff is what I addressed. The worst crap ever since electronic trading was invented. If only someone could urge them to eleminate that crap. "Network Load..." Hahaha... 50000 DAX futures / day vs. 500000 E-Minis, and the CME can disseminate each trade...
