Your post is very confusing. Remember, you are SELLING when you sell short and Buying when you close out your position. So, just put in a buy/cover stop above the market for your stop order if you are closing out your position.

Acutally, I completely agree with you. They LOVE to gamble but I agree that is will probably be a few years from now. The fact that Proshares just came out with an ultrashort China ETF should tell us that we are are not there yet.

It looked to me that DRYS had a high volume blowoff last week. Shorted around 120 and will cover if it hits a new high. I do not follow the sector however.

I would imagine that everybody here uses margin. Get the margin account and ease into margin trading when you feel comfortable.

Not placing a stop on a stock that gradually, very slowly, drifts down day after day. Those gradual drifts down will kill you. If you don't like the feel it is better to just get out.

If you are referring to me I don't have any LDK and have never owned it or shorted it. Personally I can't buy or short anything that hasn't had time to build a trading pattern. But, these manias(Chinese Stocks) usually go much, much further than anyone anticipates.

All the Chinese stocks got creamed today. Look for LDK to go much higher.

They may rally for a few weeks but they aren't anywhere close to a bottom. Lennar will likely fall to around 10 or 12 before it is over.

I wouldn't buy out of the money calls but the homebuilders might be good for a month trade here. These shorts need a little scare.
