Youngtrader, You need some kind of edge. Mcurto gave you one based on the curve. You can momentum trade bonds or notes on a trend day. If it is NOT trending, you need to be able to trade highs to lows etc and know about a bunch of intra-day tricks. Both the bonds and the 10 year can be...

Delayed "openings" have been standard among Japanese exchanges for years. I was informed that if it weren't for OSE's new trading system .......it would have been worse! Japanese have just realized that they need to be a wee more competitive with their exchanges. :eek:

LOL. it may be logical since they margin each leg of the trade. but no one else margins each leg. They should go to a more portfolio margining

I doubt it. The margin on cross rates is about 4% and that is the major flaw and the only flaw left.

MK, OSE has been down across many different brokers and channels recently on a handful of different occasions. OSE used to be a lot worse. I am not sure what the problem is there or whether they were worried about something specifically and kept it shut down. They have brand new...

Ecco Pro is no joke. It is the first platform that I have seen that can go toe to toe with TT in regards to Network speed and reliability. Not only that Cantor (who bought Ecco) will most likely blow TT away. They have more experience running fast execution networks and know a hell of a lot...

The quality of their feed has gone down. I concur. Especially over the last couple weeks. I wonder what they are screwing up?

I think we can go to the IB website and download the new version and install it right over top of the old IB???? I am guessing that will work.

Someone mentioned a bug in 1.6. I have been using 1.6 and it seems a lot faster. Is there an upgrade coming to fix this bug? By the way, any IB customers know if there is any difference between using the automatic upgrade procedure via the 'check for ib upgrade' or just manually...

LOL. I just realized there is an update. Everytime I go to log in it tells there is an update but when I go to the automatic TWS downloader it tells me that I am running the latest version?!?!!

I gave up on it as well. FWIW, I have had more IB disconnects of late. They need to get the bugs out of 866.5
