    Standard Deviations for stocks

Has anyone tried using SD for equities in any of their strategies? I understand the basic concept of the odds on 1 sd , 2sd, 3sd on a stock and comparing where the spoo is (sd wise)...... Wondering if anyone has been using these factors in their trading and if they account for beta.

    Trading the NYSE intraday

Yes, you can use an ECN but my feeling is that unless I am absolutely sure of direction for an entry or I just want to cover and get out, I want to get filled directly by the specialist to be able to "feel" him out by looking at the way he fills me. Don, any thoughts on this?

reading the quote is not as helpful a tool anymore because of the move to decimals. too many 1x1 quotes nowadays. reading the prints on the tape however continues to be a good tool. you can hide size on the quotes but not on the tape. [/B] This is a powerful tool to trading the nyse...

    Trading the NYSE intraday

I only trade the brokers when there is an event....even then you have to be wary....I have been squeezed for a point or more with them.......gs seems to be the worst, Mer the best out of the group. IBM, too thick to trade, also too many players involved.....TXN, is wild......he will adjust the...
