Has anyone tried using SD for equities in any of their strategies? I understand the basic concept of the odds on 1 sd , 2sd, 3sd on a stock and comparing where the spoo is (sd wise)...... Wondering if anyone has been using these factors in their trading and if they account for beta.

Its the ultimate news feed.....also has every kind of analysis you can think of on there....a lot of features that I haven't even figured out yet......nyse open book on it is great......betas, sectors, implied and historical volitility etc.....all at the touch of a button.....its great to have...

Yes, you can use an ECN but my feeling is that unless I am absolutely sure of direction for an entry or I just want to cover and get out, I want to get filled directly by the specialist to be able to "feel" him out by looking at the way he fills me. Don, any thoughts on this?

Thin stocks are more transparent than the liquid stocks.....there is usually one player in the stock where as the thicker ones have multiple players.
