I never thought I would be saying something like this but I think I just may prefer the partial manual handling at the OEX . For some reason when I have tried the SPY I lose, while continuing to trade well with the OEX. I think it may be due to the OEX being a llittle slower...

Samson, I think Options Express charges a $14.95 minimum commission per options order. I guess that's OK if your trading 10 or more at a time. Personally I am in the 1 to 5 league. I do hope you get proper consideration from IB regarding the problem. Please keep us posted. Ron

I use smart on stock and options. TWS is fine for eminis and stocks but OEX options take 30 seconds to a minute to show the executed fill. Limit order entries post immediately but not fills. I like IB and have traded with them in futures and stocks for about 5 years...

Has anybody got any good information on where best to trade options intraday? I am currently using IB and the options data, fills etc are are very slow. It general takes about 30 seconds to a minute to get a fill confirmed even when you are selling to bidder. Ron

That commission is a KILLER. They will have to adjust there rates to truly compete.

Yes Ideal Pro.........and don't forget that is $2.50 per pip minimum plus $10 RT commission.

That's true OZZY....................but only if you want to play for $6.50 to $12.50 per pip. If for any reason you want less risk (fear) per pip than yo must go to Forex.

My experience is that the spread on EURUSD with IB's Ideal Pro stays nearly aways at 2 pips. I have never seen it open up to 10 pips. However I have only been on Ideal Pro for a few days. I will post if ever I do experience such wide spreads.

In the 80s Prechter was the guru with EWT. He just nailed the big picture consistently back then. I know a number of old pros that use it. It's not for me but I very much like to see something that looks 5 waves before entering. Oh Yes.
