    Direct Globex connection

Thanks, Joe D, your comments certainly make sense. But the real difference to me is cost savings, not speed. I have to question the honesty of retail brokers, none of them has mentioned you'd better get a direct Globex connection if you make more than 10 r/t's a day.:)

    Direct Globex connection

http://www.cme.com/electronic_trading/trading_access/etrading_solutions_providedsolutions.cfm CME provides GLOBEX Trader to connect with Globex directly for $400/month, which sounds like huge savings compared to trading through a broker. I'd like to hear from those who have been using this...

maximum number of emini contracts in one order

I am wondering why some firms have a limit of 50, which would keep them away from high volume traders; though I haven't reached that limit yet.

    Selfprogrammed account statement... ideas needed

I am doing this in Access/VB. I have a table containing the basics for each trade: time and price of entry and exit. Any other info can be built upon that. Why do you choose MySQL/PHP? If you want a server strength platform without busting your budget, that seems the only choice. But Access is...

    Are Traders Ethical

My 2 cents: The only way to justify your trading activity is to live a simple a life and donate most of your profit to charity. Then the judgement from God may be changed from SIN to NOT TOO BAD.:) Read the book God in the Pits, which may shed some light on this issue.

    Are Traders Ethical

Traders are gamblers. Is gambling ethical? This is a very old question and should not need any more arguments. What does the Bible say about gambling?

    anyone know ffasttrade.com

Compared with J-trader: 1. It does not calculate the average price of open positions. 2. No export of trade log. I am wondering how you can use it without those features.

Sorry about the typo in previous post. Intel CPU is cooler, and it does NOT cost you much more. I am also interested in the Quiet PC. The PC I have has 3 case fans, 2 power supply fans and 1 CPU fan. I think the fans are the source of noise. Does the products from QuietPC.com really help?

Risk of system being copied by broker?

Time is not the only issue. If you place a buy limit at 1000, the piggybacker could enter a buy order later at 1003 before your order is triggered. I am wondering how successful traders protect themselves from front running. I can only think of the following cases that you can be safe. 1. You...

Risk of system being copied by broker?

karabugla, did you work for as a futures broker or stock broker? I agree with your second point, you can hardly figure out the secret of a sophiscated trading system by simply looking at the orders it generates. But I am still a bit worried about front running. Is there any regulation in the...
