Depending on the volatility...was it around 2pm during fed minutes? On Tuesday April 21st 10:30-11am, I went long NSDQ at low 8500's, mkt TANKED 200 points and STAYED down...only to be at 9100 6 days later.....is this normal?? *not trying to make fun of your situation....just trying to shed...

And it went limit up today! The 3 days of limit down did not signal a turnaround imo. Quite the opposite, support at 580 acted like a spring board and bounced that contract right up. What you also need to understand, is that this has a been a cash driven bull market, with futures playing catch...

Yes - good point, maybe that's why it's not a regulated spread! But it is a spread nonetheless, so the currency doesn't factor in, especially if i'm trading in US.

For managing vol, are you referring to playing the front month vs longer dated contracts?
