Ha! I like ratio spreads, but I'm sticking with verticals for now. My timing was off. I think that we see 3880s soon enough. I'll try again. Added 1 MES at 3970.25, so two now for an ave of around 3969. Orders out for more. Bullish for tomorrow AM, at least.

This is looking to be a total loss of 162.50 + costs. I toyed with the notion of rolling the short strike up and out, but the money isn't there. I decided to isolate this aspect of my ES trading, rather than clutter up the board with a myriad of MES and option trades. I'm getting long here...

Hi destriero, With the NDX spreads and combos, I'm assuming that you enter with one order; no leg in. How are the fills? Would it be wise to start at mid, and then give a little to get the fill?

I think that we see 3900 area again this week. Last night, bought the ES Apr 1 3920/3910 bear put spread for 3.25 on the leg in. Currently trading around 2.75 to 3.

Well, you certainly dodged a bullet there. I've had some very satisfying losing trades. Swing trade CL was down 900 for the day. I was calm and collected and made 2 day trades for +600. By EOD CL was about the same, but I was only down 300. And unsatisfying winners. Sometimes, it's just...

Buy1Sell2, Have you abandoned your downtrend hypothesis or perhaps it's just not started? I can see that happening in the May/June cycle this year. I don't go out that far, though. Just curious.

Closed the spread for 3.6 ES pts. Out the short at 3976.25. Not a very good trade.

Short MES here 3965.25 Another hedge against the spread

Covered the short at 3937.25 So now just a free very OTM vertical bull 3980/3990. Expires today.

Sold a two lot MES at 3961.50 So -1 MES and the 3980/3990 bull call spread. I'd rather have a little downside for tomorrow's open. Could see some volatility.

Still looks bullish to me. Just added an MES at 3960.75. The 3980/3990 spread cost basis is 11 - (8+.70) = 2.30 or $115. Net of costs. That's pretty decent R/R. I was looking for higher prices today, but we never made it.

If tomorrow looks down, I'll short some MES against the spread. If up, I may add some MES. Since the options expire tomorrow, my timing opportunities are constrained.

Just resold it for 5.50 So the 3980/3990 bull call spread is back on for now. Will let it ride for a while.
