    Yes — in gaming you practice your strategy and learn from your opponent. That is key to trading. Realize that your opponent has $$$ to spend on r&d and teams of phds. You’re not going to outsmart them so you need to test them for weaknesses (e.g. when don’t they trade...?).

    Always understand why you think your trading strategy should incur excess returns. If you can’t explain that and develop some theory that’s tied to market dynamics or economic operations then you’re really just gambling poorly.
