CME site says trading started in crude options yesterday. Anybody done them-who's got best direct access and has anybody used CME EOS TRADER , their proprietary front end ? Looking forward to seeing what i'm trading and not having to talk to/trust a broker. :cool:

Thanks PJKIII. I wrote Clearport/Optionable because Optionable wrote the software that allowed Nynex to electronically trade crude options-they bought about 18% of Optionable and then went with Globex which is due out in June I think. I’m unclear why Nymex will keep both-does Clearport serve...

optionable was riding high a month ago then a canadian bank dumped them, nymex announced going to cme with crude options. do you know if these will be american options ? is nymex to continue with clearport/optionable crude options? anybody got the inside scoop? what is your guess will be best...

ford would make a nice merge with honda-let honda do the small stuff and ford do trucks, suvs, lincolns etc. ford shouldn't chase small with china and the likes coming in. to my eye they usually trail gm in styling except for the towncar.:cool:

thehangingman they have crude options on a screen-but just for institutions as i understand. let me know if somebody adapts for individuals; i don't know why ib could'nt work a deal with them for such. to me vanilla crude puts/calls are the last vestage of the stone age in that they are still...

crude options are nymex open outcry-no electronic trades. they like it like that- :D ice has some but thin.

i dumped them after i mailed in 2 rebates they didn't pay saying not all required reciepts etc were enclosed-i know they were. i figured that dishonesty would eventually show in product. have been very happy with zone alarm suite. :p

expert advice etc. must be worth something-i'm thinking of making a trip from dallas just to find broker for crude options after getting screwed trying to do nymex from the hinterlands.:mad:

thanks guys- still feel vanilla electronic real time crude options quotes/ trades[just crude] would build a market just as it did for the futures contract,which didn't exist when i was in college.

I've been trading wti options through a full service broker by watching cme's free real time quotes for the cl contract. I want to change to internet brokerage but have some questions. Do all crude options go through the nymex pit or is it possible to do it electronically. Next, are real time...
