I left GNI because the order desk hung up on me when the software was down. They blamed Globex yet I could still see trades going through. Make sure to open up a GOOD backup account if you are going with these guys. -Todd

in the settings dialog under the general tab you will see the function keys listed. Choose show trade frame. This will not place a market order but bring up the trade ticket. If you set order to market it will automatically default there.

I couldn't find them on the NFA website. Even though they aren't in the US, in order to trade US markets a company has to be registered with the NFA. I would proceed with care! -Todd-

for futures www.eFloorTrade.com has automation software. On the equity side I'm not sure.

I was getting a similar error when I first started with JTrader. My broker helped me fix it but I don't remember for sure what we did. Do you have any other versions of Java on your computer? -Todd

I know eFloorTrade can do it on the futures side. Maybe they can give you someone on the equities side that can help you out. Todd

Sammy, Your connection will be milliseconds faster using a direct connection than something like Jtrader. It may provide a little more stability but as you said there may be no support if anything happens.

Money is held by the FCM. If your IB goes belly up, the FCM will still hold your funds. So you shouldn't be as concerned with stability of the IB as much as the FCM!

eFloorTrade has been very good to me!!!

Rates have been coming down and he had to do something to be competitive. Man Financial is a little more expensive. Unfortunatly as we have learned, the lower rate isn't always the best bet. And yes I am sure 600 contracts daily. I have watched many times.
