Another internet know-it-all tough guy.
I simply requested what evidence you have, and since you have none and your initial premise is flawed all you have is to name call.
Lame.
And how does your "experience" explain that while the executives bancrupt the company, stock goes to zero along with the majority of their personal net worth ?
You make a huge leap from FB closing accounts (which is well documented in their quest to clean up fraudulent accounts)to FB executives trying to bankrupt FB.
Do you have any evidence of the latter or is this just your conclusion based on the former ?
so help me here. you are a risk parity player beginning 2018. rates move to 3.20 ...you are still leveraged from beginning of the yr on the bond side , right ? what is your move now ? equities are off 4 % from the high. what if we go to 3.5 and you are still leveraged from jan 2018 ?? or...
On the buy side. if you can't be monitoring it you shouldn't be trading it.
On the sell side I'll occasionally use stop losses for discipline, but the true pro's are just watching and reacting.
I realize that many on ET have day jobs (in mine I'm watching the markets anyhow so I have the...
I trade common stocks/equities and options. Many times you can get price improvement on a simple market order and at least you control your fill. This is at a full service wire house (I have no choice, employee) I pay no commissions but a 50 bp management fee on the trading account. (again...
Be very careful if you plan on executing any trades in these post hours. Besides the obvious drop in liquidity, you are playing with the big boys who maybe a little quicker to the punch or bid as it were. Just my 2 cents.
That is the point !! Guess it was not clear ! Don't use simple buy limits....which RH encourages because they sell the flow. (Obviously there are other types of limits but that is not this conv)
No, im saying you should have been filled at a better price. You got picked off. Not always but often....if you search this topic it was explained previously by others much better than I can. Btw...2 parties can not make bank on 1 trade.
So if you are a passive investor you don't mind poor execution ? If you are using a standing limit order you are are going to get picked off...no matter what broker you are using. BUT, RH encourages this use, better flow to sell.
The 1% rule usually applies to potential loss (if I am right in my assumption to what you are asking) Ie: that is where your stop is for any given trade. Not neccassarily the nominal capital invested.
So you had a buy limit at 50..which means 50 OR BETTER... Ah, never Mind. For those who would like a good explanation why this is not a free lunch, Look at the other thread from this poster for an explanation from Sig(?). Or go with ...ignorance is bliss.
