    Vertical Spreads for Aggressive Growth

CacheLanding, Excellent and very useful post. thanks for sharing. I have a question for you regarding one of your comments: "You always here the statement, "cut losses short and let winners run". If you intend to be a premium seller, toss that statement into the garbage, and never...

Richard, Thanks! I appreciate it. I will start reading right away. I just got finished reading about 200 pages of the SPX Credit Spread Journal, and I need to take a break. Frank

    Option Income Portfolios

riskarb, I've very interested in this strategy. I have a couple questions for you: 1) What is a BOM and an ABN AMRO? 2) Do you have to use two separate accounts with two brokers? Or can you do this with one account? 3) In item #3, what do you mean by "hedge BOM with vanilla...

How can I use futures to hedge against selling vertical call spreads?

I was wondering if someone could give me a specific example of how to use futures to hedge against selling veritcal calls. For example, let's say I sell: 10 SPY Sept 132/134 Calls How can I use futures to hedge against them. Let's say I'm afraid that the strike price of SPY will go above...

I'm pretty sure you need a Series 65 and have to be licensed to say your a Financial Advisor from what I understand. The rules depend on what state you're in, etc.

What is the relationship between QQQQ and MNX

What is the relationship between QQQQ and the MNX? What is the ratio? It is easy to tell with SPY and the SPX, but not the QQQQ and MNX. Thanks, Frank

This iron condor strategy seems to be a sure thing for small profit.

I haven't traded SPX yet - only SPY. This sounds like a good match. I'm looking for consistent winners. How much margin is required for an IC trade on the SPX index? Thanks, Frank

This iron condor strategy seems to be a sure thing for small profit.

I haven't actually tried placing this order. I did find a trade that meets this criteria, however, I used the midprice between the bid/ask. If you pay the ask and sell at the bid, it comes out to $95 instead of $115.

This iron condor strategy seems to be a sure thing for small profit.

This strategy seems to be a sure thing - although small profit. What am I missing? Rather than explain it, I will give an example for stock xyz: Sell a 110/111 Vertical Call Spread for .45 Sell a 108/109 Vertical Put Spread for .70 The max loss on each side is $100. However...

    CSCO for Monday

Just announced this evening at 8:41PM: "Cisco settles class action lawsuit for $91.75M" Cisco closed today at 20.86. Is this enough to cause CSCO to gap down significantly over the weekend? Frank

    speeding up the PC

In my experience, fixing something that isn't broken tends to cause more problems in the long run. For example, if something stops working later, could it be that software or something else? It's just one more piece to a puzzle when trying to solve a computer problem. Who knows, it may...

    speeding up the PC

If the bottleneck is CPU, it will be difficult to speed up the PC since software requires more CPU to run. If you have a slow PC, you will want to find out what is slowing it down. Usually, more memory helps speed up a PC, but sometimes, it's the CPU, or maybe your PC is infected with...

Do you consistantly make money from Forex Trading?

I for one have been wondering the same thing about Forex traders. I don't trade Forex, only stocks/options. I've never been brave enough to post a question like this in this forum since I knew I would get responses similar to those that I see right now. Odds are I wouldn't have a...
