I wonder if brokers were informed or if you had a long VX position on IB and it dropped 50% it may have triggered a forced liquidation. IB isn't very "understanding" in those situations.

Good question. I think cause the downside risk is significantly higher than the upside potential but evidently it's not working out

I think it's strange either way. It's unlikely that the vx dropped 50% after being this low to begin with, but it's also strange that they would push trades through and confuse everyone

How many here think this is a bug or other serious issue or a real quote? I'm not sure who'd sell you those futures if all other markets are closed and you'd have a hard time putting on any type of hedge.
