Perfect forecast of SP500 since 2 months

I am just presenting the TRUTH. Your intention is obvious. The oxymoronic nature of your statement couple with the incongruous placement of INTRADAY strategy in a WEEKLY discussion is more than enough proof. My attitude is not bad it just susceptible and vehement at the blatant sign of...

Perfect forecast of SP500 since 2 months

So you're running a time series analysis based solely on price. Mostly like differencing of degree 1, i.e. a pure momentum play? I am a bit confused ... you're extrapolating solely on ONE period? I.E. you're using 1980 data to predict 2003?? Data mining? Over-optimization?

Would like some advice on proprietary trading firms.

Within all those arguments you presented: The most salient is the assumption that you will succeed based on attitude and hard work. Why are you so POSITIVE? What about Guys like Niederhoffer - smart, dedicated, hard working.... and basically broke with 6 college tuition bills to be...

Would like some advice on proprietary trading firms.

So you think Prop firms would be more ACCOMODATING? Bullshit. Not to be rude, but prop firms isnt exactly easy street. The corporate culture - for a lack of a better term - is much more conducive. I am not saying that this is the road to success. On the contrary, my point is that you...

    How do you handle INFORMATION?

Would like some advice on proprietary trading firms.

If you want a standard of living up to par - in this case, cash flow discounted into the present - you have to put in the long hours! Its a exponential cash flow curve, ie. your pay dramatically shoots up. Name a job that doesnt require 70-90hrs for recent graduate? If you work for a prop...

54% return -- looking for an internship

I dont want to be repetitive in any way: but your alpha numbers are incorrect ... or Marketocracy's numbers are incorrect. I think a number of posters have pointed this out. Have you tried to get an internship via fixed income department? Worth trying.

54% return -- looking for an internship

No need to show your transaction records.... You're pretty credible. Fishsauce would agree. I think he was more intrigued at your methodology than you credibility.

Why do traders blame their firms for not succeeding?

Point well-taken, but keep in mind the commission structure. If you're expected to pay 30% annual commision over the norm... then you have to earn at least 30% to break even. Tough Tough Business. Might as well go solo with cheaper commission. Just my 2 cents.

Has anyone tried this option strategy?...

This method is used everyday. Wade Cook, aka Piece of shit, advocated this method ... Thus take it with a grain of salt Good strategy if AND only if volatility is high One caveat: Payoff is pretty stable, unless you use leverage. Money is also tied up due to nakedness...
