    Easy money

I did some test for 96 - Feb 03 Results are NOT encouraging. Simply because of the drawdown. Very extensive and excruciating. Ex. The runup by JPM knocked off two of the best weeks in the sample size.

Great prose ... get off the bottle. That was the cheesy form of spam I have ever met. Adds nil/nada/zero/sh*t to the topic at hand.

Point well taken, price is a good proxy for Value. Not a perfect estimator. Using price as a gauge, one has to question why system sellers are offering their systems at such ridiculous low prices.... Added to this, is the fact that traders/systems developers are pure capitalists. Why...

Good Advisory Service Gone -- Interesting

No 60K is a lot for minimum work. Running a advisory newsletter doesnt take that much effort. With simple VBA macros and $1000 a year for website maintenance, its a cake walk. He only has 25 clients??????? If you doing that well for 5 years and you're pulling in rouhgly 5 people a...

Defining Directional and Sideways days in advance...

This is a really tough question. On a "quiet" day I think your method is on target or approximately. But you have to take into account shocks: news surprise, M&A bid, and a plethora of earnings and numbers .... what this all means is that on a given day, whether the trading range is...

That's a good solution. Unfortunately most only give you a 30 day trial. Considering that if you use the system for 3-5 years, what happen if during that 30 day trial we're in the mists of a trending period?? P.S. Anyone care to explain why the number of systems on the market NOW is...

Take an economic class for pete sake. Price is a reflection of Value. Is it perfect? Of course not, but price is the guiding light. Price DO sort out the lemons. What theory are you prescribing to???? Ever heard of a thing called common sense and supply and demand? Would you buy a...

Anyone find it funny that the staunch supporters of buying trade systems are the one trying to sell it? Anyone also find it funny that most site that do sell systems sell MORE than ONe? On average most sell six or more on the same securities (ex.ES).

No doubt, but you have to look at the CONSUMER side. LIke I said before, due to fraudulent claims and sheer number of systems available, for a typical consumer of these products it is in their best interest to buy the EXPENSIVE one. Adverse selection. Probability ... yada yada. Its...

    devaluing currencies and deflation

So yen depreciate FIRST, just they're not on equal footing. They canNOT have weaker currency relative to each other at the same time! Not conceivable. Both could be weaker against the Euro for instance, but not each other. Mathematically and common sense wise, Impossible.

    devaluing currencies and deflation

Assuming that they're on equal footing, NO CHANGE WOULD occur. Say $1 = 100 Yen. US money stock : $100 JApan money stock: 10,000 yen Both decide to double money stock (devaluation) US money stock: $200 Japan money stock: 20,000 yen Currency rate: Still $1 = 100 yen. This is...
