    ES Journal Archive (2006 - 2008)

Evening gents. Just got back and noticing some upward movement in the indexes. Looked for some news and found this snippet - my guess is it is what is contributing to the AH up move given the time corresponding with price action. Good trading. CNBC reporter says that a Fed source who asked...

Apex, I had missed the entire first move but entered yesterday morning on the strength, using the March Euro emini contract. Not enough experience yet to use the large contract but can still play the game. Currently short March contract from 1.4757. No real target - trying to play a little...

Apex - great trade of the Euro short. I was short last week but was stopped out. Right call just bad timing. Nice job. Odd today Gold lower, dollar higher, oil lower, but bonds still pricing in the flight to quality.

Abu Dhabi Invests $7.5 Billion in Citigroup

Something had to give - you don't get moves in the bond markets like we did today without some catastrophe around the corner.

Yes - I think this investment in C has driven up the futures pretty substantially - I cannot see anything else that would be the culprit.

Is the C.F.A. equivalent to an ivy league MBA

I think it's hard to look at it in black and white. I just passed Level 3 of the exam and am glad that it's over with and that I have taken it and should receive my charter soon. I think in the investment management world it's a clear sign that you at least have some kind of competence to say...

    account opening with IB

I opened my account at the end of June with IB. Took me 6 business days to get it open and I had just left a broker dealer as a trader - I couldn't believe it. I told them I was positive there were more people than just myself that had no income and were "traders" but that didn't seem to speed...

A firm stock market=NO RATE CUT

I have to agree with Spooz. The fed lowers the discount rate and lends the commercials more dough to go bail out the mortgage brokers and voila the hedgies that have had their butts handed to them over the past month are free and clear to lever up again. The culmination was the...

Suck day for me - was caught short on the rate cut this morning and though I recovered some after I mentally broke down and could not execute. Should have stuck with my plan of not trading on expiration - I just cannot seem to do well on them. -2375
