Stress Test Leak: BAC Needs $34 Billion In Capital

Where did you read that? I haven't seen anything other than a small blurb from reuters on the news. You'd have to assume if M2M was in place the capital need would be higher - how much I have no clue.

Stress Test Leak: BAC Needs $34 Billion In Capital

Considering they said two days ago they though C may ONLY need 10BB (and it is by most deemed to be in worse shape that BAC) I would think it could be a negative - though you are right everyone knew/knows they banks need more capital. Just a question of what the market has priced in.

You mean an early breakfast right? NFP should set the tone - coupled with the stress tests coming out after the close thursday - though I wouldn't be surprised in the least if they decided to delay those results one more time. That way the shorts can do the work for them by continually having...

Good point - the total OI on the SPUs at 800 for expi in about 10 days is pretty massive relative to all other levels around. 900 fairly large OI on the call side but next to nothing on the put side - odd to see a number that big so imbalanced.

The bears better get going soon because there is still a ton of buying going on soaking all of this up. For the time being all we are doing is working over some overbought conditions that will allow us to move higher again. Would love to see the buyers give in but they haven't yet.

Sellers really trying but buyers refuse to give up and they are the ones with the firepower for now. On the flip side the index put call ratio is very low this morning - first in a while.

The market will rally until it doesn't - however I like to watch volume - especially since we are finally back to break even on the year. Volume on the big board is going to be higher than friday's anemic result but it is still nothing to write home about - especially when one considers the...
