CNMS Your trading log and charts cleared a few things up. They were invaluable to my understanding of this framework. Entry/Exit of your trades seem to be primarily based on channel context and price setups. Volume was used for adjusting or fitting price channels. Not sure how you used...

Live trading would be great. A spreadsheet of daily entries/exits, possibly with comments on indicators used to enter/exit trades would also be extremely beneficial to learn from. I used to see results posted in the equity forum that I was able to glean very useful information from. I...

Can anyone that uses the YM to confirm Continuation/Change comment on the attach chart and what they saw in the ym that says continuation/change in the ES ? The areas that I am most interested in are the areas that I circled or squared. If there are areas on the YM chart that says...

Other than an extremly Bullish tape was there anything in the ES or YM charts that indicated Continuation of the Long position at the 255 ES bar ( Circled in Red ). The 255 ES bar had inc Red PRV with an Extremly Low volatility Range bar.

Just got back from vacation and missed the last 3 days of dialog. I certainly understand the fustration here. Not sure of how my comments fits into the current dialog but feel that it adds to the discussion of how to know when you are ready to bring in a new tool. I will be bringing in...

I kept reversing this morning. Quite a few small losses per reversal. I even had problems in the evening annotating the morning action. Volume was very unsustained and prices jumpy. There were constant FTT's along the ST and LT. Only clue that I saw this evening was price was hugging the ST...

BundleMaker, The past 6 weeks I have had only 1 small down day and plenty of plus days. Remember I was someone that failed at this several years ago. Somedays I think I am lucky and other days I feel like I am getting it. One thing I have been doing differently is that I draw what I expect...

My 1100 thoughts and chart attached. The Up Trend was clear to me but I was thinking around 11 that I was going to refit/redraw the uptrend. After i noticed the 1102 UP price bounce I redrew the LT RTL ( dash lime green ). Highlighted in Blue and referenced as BB5 in my attached notes...

dkm I am not spyderTrader. I can certainly relate to your confusion. Attached are some of my comments on the chart. Spyder gave you some good advice about arriving at you own conclusion first. I trade at the Forrest level only. I am not proficient at recognizing FTT's off of VE but...

At what point today did anyone notice the 1045 bar was a change bar and what were the signals (tools) that you used to determine this ? note - I am using only ES price and volume My thinking was at 1045 everything looked OK. No obvious FTT. At 1050 a DEC RED PRV Bar so I'm thinking dip...

SPyderTrader, Are we looking at the same chart? I relabeled my chart to include bar 4. Don't VE bars occur when the LTL is pushed out. Bar 4 isn't anywhere near the LTR ( blue line ). Same thing goes for Bar 10. This might be a major misconception on my part. Thanks for your reponse.

SpyderTrader, I've attached a chart and my CONTINUATION/CHANGE comments that represents my current level of understanding. The bar numbers are on the chart. Bar 4 I would of definitely called a FTT. Bar 5 I would of definitely thought I was wrong about bar 4 ftt. Bar 10 I would of been on FTT...

Exit Strategies The last 3 weeks I've been making some money trading, which is a new experience for me, and I actually have to think about exiting to protect profits as opposed to exiting to reduce losses. Exits go into the "art" of trading. Sometimes I draw in a steeper right Trend...

I agree hope is not a strategy. I know this Journal is not about the Psychological aspects of trading but the emotional state and maturity of a trader is a major issue. I can not stress this point enough that there is no substitute for watching the market in Real Time and also eventually...

What I meant was that we could be at point 1 of a new down trend or we could be at minor correction of the current trend. Isn't this the purpose of comparing Volume to the last bar on a Pro Rata basis. This is probably what I am missing. In all cases I would like for price and volume...

I would like to visually demonstrate my last post. Attached are 3 charts of Morning Up channels followed by a 2 bar lateral move on lower volume. The lateral may be on green or red volume and in either case the volume is decreasing. The color of the volume bar is irrelevant since the...
