I plan on doing some brainstorming over the coming months and conjure up some sort of system. Testing systems with options is quite tedious. There is this nauseating feeling when you test for a couple hours...that feeling arises quicker when I’m backteating with options. :)

That's kind of what I was doing. I feel if you can time options trades (trade directionally) then adapting to futures is easier. Trading options directionally is a hell of a skill.

I know there are some options traders on the forum that crush it in trading. I tried trading options for years, and was average to below average at it. I trade futures now and am good to very good at it... and am content with just trading futures. My question is... What types of strategies...

Well, that is your opinion. I've never met a trader in my life, or had any coaching. I average about 6% per month with a 4.5 Sharpe Ratio and my worst monthly draw down has been 2% in a month. I'm following 10 markets, and my strategy works. In my opinion there is no way for me to trade 1...

Stopped out for a Break Even + 1.... Now onto the weekend :) Most of my trades are get the market to go in your direction to put a stop in and hope to hell it runs.

First learn to trade on longer term time frames, if you can do that, then try shorter term. It's like learning to Bat with 50mph pitches vs learning to bat with 100mbps pitches. I would also suggest learn trend continuation first, then ATTEMPT trend reversal.... trend reversal is very hard...
