Anyone follow Michael Harris and his service ?

In https://www.priceactionlab.com/Blog/2015/03/curve-fitting-and-optimization-2/, Michael Harris writes about different types of curve fitting for trading systems and how the system-generating software he sells generates systems with the lowest probability of failure. However, the reason his...

Your broker probably changed policies similar to https://investor.vanguard.com/investing/leveraged-inverse-etf-etn So you might want to switch brokers.

    Regional ETF Strategy Thoughts

You could simplify the allocation by just buying VT Vanguard Total World Stock. And if you didn't want the holdings to be as heavily-weighted in large-cap stocks, you could add VO Vanguard Mid-Cap Index VB Vanguard Small Cap SCZ iShares MSCI EAFE Small-Cap

If you live in FL, but trade elsewhere on vacation, must you pay their state income tax?

The company's headquarters is in New York, but I worked for them from another state. Sorry if that wasn't clear. So New York State taxed non-residents for business trips there. My job didn't require travel, so this wasn't an issue for me (but was for some others in my department).

If you live in FL, but trade elsewhere on vacation, must you pay their state income tax?

I worked for a finance industry company with a New York headquarters outside of New York. Every year, employees were required to certify they were not New York State residents and expected to be working in New York for 14 or fewer days to avoid New York income tax withholding. But I suppose if...

Merck cyberattack’s $1.3 billion question: Was it an act of war?

Companies I worked for would never backup your PC's hard drive. Employees had to copy important files to a shared drive which was backed up or use a source control system for code and documents. So it could be the researcher's poor habits that resulted in the "lost 15 years of work."

After two years, Trump's tax cuts have failed Americans

I have already been there with esophageal cancer. During my treatment, some money-related things I experienced with the medical and health insurance industries were: Medical providers you visit normally force you to sign something obligating you to pay any charges not covered by your...

After two years, Trump's tax cuts have failed Americans

The total amounts of payments made by the insurance company to providers plus deductibles and copayments I paid for my wife and myself were $634.25. This is probably a reasonable estimate for what I would have had to pay for the same care without insurance. It could be a little more (insurance...

After two years, Trump's tax cuts have failed Americans

The penalty was what I would have had to pay if I didn't have health insurance in 2018. The health insurance I did have had an $11,017.56 annual premium for my wife and myself with a $6,400 deductible/$7,350 max in-network out-of-pocket cost each. This was the lowest premium from the Health...
