Bought some WMT today @ 53.07 my target is 55.70 with an initial stop of 52.07. I am looking at a window of 1-2 weeks on this trade, decent risk/reward profile and liked today's price action also liked the hammer/doji candle on the dailies. Any comments on this trade?? thnks. :)

You sound like you have a good positive attitude, which is good (you will need it). As others have wrote, I think your idea of being profitable right out of the starting gate is not realistic. Trust me, when you start trading for the first time all the emotions you said you wouldn't have come...

Sukhen, during the day of the breakout watch where the close is, if it is above the breakout then it has been confirmed and has a high probability of going higher. A perfect example of this is AV, which broke out yesterday, I picked some up early @13.70. Look at this chart...

There has been some good answers here for you. Another would be to get incorporated (shouldn't be more than a couple hundred bucks) and trade on behalf of the corporation. I recommend a Nevada corporation. If you want more infor pm me. ciao.
