Mmm. this is something very interesting. Like this you avoid the channels inside the channels all on one graph. You avoid going to a higher resolution all the time and hanging in there. A channel is just a channel like this. regards, Ivo

Hi Mak, I was answering your question based on the black helpline and based on that it's not the last 5 minutes just like you asked... Indeed, based on the grey line it's a traverse and I would wait for the bar to finish. So what if you have an FTT, you enter, and price turns around...

Hi Mak, Sorry for the misunderstanding. have a black RTL starting at 2:25 and then stops at 3:55 I think you mean 3:25 - 3:55 This is just a helpline, something temporary that I forgot to remove. The current downchannel channel is formed by the grey line. Sorry. However, if it...

Thank you very much for your answer MAK. If you have a down channel going towards RTL of a bigger up channel do you assume the bigger channel will break if there's no clear FBO of FTT before BO? For example my 15:40 bar I thought it would be a Double bottom FTT. However, had the bigger up...

Wow. I finally see it and without YM! I will not use YM in the next days. Must be a sign :-) Ivo

Hi Mak, I tend to be careful with high volume spikes and carefully monitor YM while the spike is being formed for clues. YM may show an FTT while the spike is being formed on ES or a flaw in the new dominant direction meaning change has already happened. regards, Ivo

Very nice FTT on YM, on traverse as well as the larger channel. I noticed while ES was going up YM has been hesitating for a while. regards, Ivo

    Living and trading in Mexico

I love Mexico. My wife is Mexican and every year we go there for 2-3 months. It's always fun, relaxed lifestyle, nice weather, friendly people, nice beaches, cheap (not Cancun BTW), excellent food. I'm sure internet connections is no problem there. We have a house in Colima, a medium sized...

Sorry I don't get this. (higher relative volume on its fractal) and I am curious what you mean. When I talk about FTT's taking place on lower volume then I mean the fractal in which you consider the FTT an FTT. I am talking about the fractal we follow at that moment. What i mean is on...

VE and LTL touch okay but FTT's occur on decreasing volume. Decreasing (lower) volume means change. There can be peaking volume before the FTT but the FTT almost never occurs on that same bar. It is in the next few bars where price tries to break new ground on higher volume and sometimes...

I agree with this. We don't get increasing volume immediately. Why not? Because a point 3 is nothing else but another FTT on another fractal or a flaw. FTT's. High volume is not a characteristic of an FTT or a flaw. Sometimes you can even see the FTT on the downchannel on YM when ES is making...

Hi Avi, I swear it was pure coincidence I posted about this failed point three right after your post :p I did read these old posts though some time ago. regards, Ivo

IMO it's not a generalisation or a rule of thumb but one of the essentials of FTT's. We always need decreasing volume as a sign of change (followed by decreasing non dom volume towards RTL). "Decreasing" means by definition lower at this moment in comparison with a moment before. This...

Hi Bi9foot, In your chart you annotated the very quick FTT that was formed. It helps me to think of this a a "failed point 3". Price is trying to make a point three down (tape is broken) but it fails and breaks back. In fact a failed point 3 is a breakout. regards, Ivo

Yeah, very strange. Again same flaw story.... 9:55 looks 100% like a flaw. BTW of course I had the steeper channel there. Was just waiting for pt3 down which came at 10:10 but failed and turned into a reversal. regards, Ivo

Hi Mak, Thanks for the answer. What exactly is XO? and "clearing" of RTL? I suppose XO = RTL being crossed and clearing is Breakout? What do you recommend for a beginner? I noticed that almost always after an FTT and decr. non dominant volume price will at least try to break RTL...

Hi bi9foot, First of all let me clarify that Spooz and me do not disagree. He just asked me a question for clarification. Second I would like to ad that this is all a matter of zoom in and zoom out. First we look indeed at bar to bar. Then after that we compare with volume levels on same...

Hi Mak, Okay, if price breaks above RTL intrabar we have an FBO and there's an action for that. What if price keeps on going intrabar above and below RTL? We keep on doing actions and lose 3 ticks on every action? I assume you are talking about YM because we're supposed to monitor YM when...
