There used to be drop down list to select which account you wanted the trade to go into. Today they pop up a selection box that doesn't actually change anything no matter what you select. Is anyone else seeing this?
I'm on hold for chat but am getting tired of waiting.
I'm not sure how far back your study goes, but lots of companies to well together in a bull market. Finding correlation is only one part of pairs trading, you still have to do a lot of work to find suitable pairs after that.
No offence because I've liked many of your posts and I know the thread has strayed now and then, but this is quite a bit off topic. There is a hardware forum here -> http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=4
I don't agree with that. The important number I use for viewing pleasure is the dot pitch. It's a measure of how close or small the pixels are. The smaller the dot pitch the more crammed on the screen. I've found anything less than .200 very uncomfortable to use for extended periods and .250...
Maybe you should start a new thread. The title of this one is "Writing options for a living". You seen to want to start by buying them so it probably should be discussed on a different thread.
I've never had a coach or mentor but there was a decent article on this in the April issue of SFO Magazine.

I'll kick off the "burned by the set" posts... NDX set (nds) +25 over yesterdays close. Turned my $4k profit into a $100 loss because I was cheap and wanted the last couple of bucks out of the position. Live and learn.

Is anyone else having issues with the TOS live system tonight. I haven't been able to connect since shortly after market close. Paper trading is up and running though. Just want to make sure it's not me.
Good luck. This year was the worst by far and the last straw for me with Fidelity. I've got a 401k there but everything else got moved to other brokers last week after all the errors I've found in their tax documents again this year.
My gut would tell me the slippage on the "large transaction in the ETF" would account for this sort of risk. Yes, you could get the rare event when it doesn't but that's the nature of risk and return.
