    How Realistic? $50k account, $500 / day

Alright guys, my turn. I've been trading forex for a few a few years now, and I've managed to build myself up to a reasonably consistent return. Trouble is that I've never had enough money to really focus my attention on it. So, that's all changed now. I have trading capital equal to 4 years...

Trump says stock market is all a big bubble....

Despite low interest rates, there remains a large excess of liquidity in the market. There remains lots of room for increases in the stock market. If anything, rising interest rates is a statement of confidence in the economy. Although this may initially impact the markets negatively, over the...

Trump says stock market is all a big bubble....

Trump noted that he has dabbled in the market successfully — "I did like 50 stocks just for fun, because I'm not a person that really believes in it too much," he told Fox — but cautioned against it. Is this individuals opinion about the stock market credible?

Trump says stock market is all a big bubble....

I think that if you're going to present the opinion of a given individual, the credibility of that individual is highly relevant. So, I can't say anything negative about Trump, but you or anyone else can present his opinion as fact?

    Quantum Computer Programming

Amazing how this technology has advanced over the years. Back in 2003, I took a fourth year level course in Quantum Computing. I was seriously thinking about digging more deeply into this but quickly realized my progress in it depended on many physics and math courses I didn't have. That was...

    Marketsurfer Destroys The iWatch

Here is an earlier post which shows Samsung leading in 2014 with 1,200,000 of their watches shipped. Apple responded in 2015 with 12,000,000 of their own watches shipped. If you call this a failure, than you're a fool...

    Marketsurfer Destroys The iWatch

You may be right, but I'd suggest you wait to see what happens as iWatch 2 is released. You have to admit, however, that the demand for iWatch was much greater than you anticipated. Apple has done substantially better than expected by many, and has royally beaten their competition! I suggest...

    What is a "Dope Sheet?"

Its ok, oraclewizard77. No need to feel ashamed. Anyone with any humility can look back at their past and find one instance where they behaved like a dope. :D

    From 1k to 500k (Deadline: 2017)

I completely agree with this. Then again, being afraid to lose the money has the funny effect of MAKING you lose the money. A balance needs to be discovered. I've been at this for a few years now. First I was losing; now I'm breaking even. Sadly, my Mom passed last year, and I'm left with...

Google is against me and I am losing....

Sorry you went through this. Here's my guess as to what happened. You left your phone on and it was bouncing around in your pocket/purse whatever. By some fluke, this bouncing around resulted in 10 failed pin attempts...

    Oanda - Visa/Debit

Yes, not a big issue once you understand what's happening and that the risk exists. However, when you don't know, it feels like your money has disappeared into thin air. Hope they resolve it quickly for you.

Took out a loan to transition to full-time trading. 24 years old.

Iwilldoit, I'm investing very passively in a couple of ETFs in a non-registered and a registered account. Your first sentence, is obvious and rather silly. However, if one is going to lose money, they should do it as inexpensively as possible as I suggested in an earlier post.

Took out a loan to transition to full-time trading. 24 years old.

Because it is much cheaper to leave your own money invested for the long-run and trade with the bank's cash at low interest. The small amount of interest/fees paid is a tax deductible expense.

Took out a loan to transition to full-time trading. 24 years old.

OP, this is idiocy! Return that money immediately! If you're going to borrow to trade, at least be patient enough to build up your credit rating so that you can get a loan at a decent rate. I don't know what the system is in the USA, but here in Canada, with a good credit rating you can get...

This guy predicts that a "wear alone" smartwatch will cannibalize 70% of smartphone market? ha

Come to Ottawa, Canada. I swear that 25% of people pay with an iPhone. "Classic post" or not, its becoming a norm here.

Yes, I do that too. However, I am also hard at work designing an application for these damn phones for a business I'm starting. 15 years since I worked as computer programmer. Things have changed!

Funny, there is not a single thing on your list that interests me! I guess I have a unique iPhone usage profile.
