    Have you seen this chart?

That is a major factor that many people are either ignoring or not aware of. You can't trade the markets via almanac and get your selloff every October like it's a regular meal.

Sorry guys no chance for a down day

Absolutely effing right. I can't believe how many people here indulge in this "the black helicopters are circling as The Jew Bankers pull the puppet strings" horseshit. Even if all the conspiracy theories are true, <i>why fight it if it keeps you from making money!!!</i> That is the point...

    More highs tomorrow

"More highs tomorrow" "<b>U.S. Stocks Rise, Sending Dow Average to Record, as Oil Drops</b> By Allen Wan Oct. 10 (Bloomberg) -- A late rally in U.S. stocks propelled the Dow Jones Industrial Average to a record as crude oil dropped to an eight-month low."

    Wait A Second, Homebuilders Upgraded

I'm not convinced this is the case. They could be sincere. :D If nothing else, the upgrades may create a tradeable pop. Back in the late '90's, I was working on the trading desk of one of the large west coast investment bankers. The founder/president had a ton of some crap stock in the...

    More highs tomorrow

You're a woman and you're wishing for them? You have deeper issues than I thought.

    More highs tomorrow

I'm not surprised you have no balls.

    More highs tomorrow

I agree, good observations. The main thing this market has going for it is momentum. If both stocks and oil trade trade lower today then we might be seeing the end of the lower oil relief rally. Unless oil takes another big hit, of course.

    More highs tomorrow

Blah, blah, blah. Yeah, bonds and stocks are both down so my premise isn't playing out but the point is to throw out ideas for discussion. Do you have any thoughts on bonds? No. Do you have an opinion on stocks? Apparently not. Do you have any insight on any particular sectors? No...

    More highs tomorrow

Yeah, just tomorrow, but I'll be interested to see if further upside momentum is created tomorrow. I think the market is nuts right now - it's been going straight up for months - but I'm very reluctant to short anything with the momentum that's in place.

    More highs tomorrow

Ah, one of the old chestnuts. It gets used in about 5 threads per day.

    More highs tomorrow

I'm a permabull because I said the market's going up tomorrow? How about engaging in some kind of logical argument. If you have a logical counter to what I've said, I'd like to hear it.

    More highs tomorrow

North Korea's nuke test was a non-event in the stock market but, when the bond market re-opens tomorrow, we'll get flight to quality buying of treasuries from Japan and others. Lower rates - more support for stocks, earnings are likely to look good...the Fed making equity-friendly...

FARK!!! North Korea Just Tested the Bomb

Would you say Karl Rove was the mastermind behind this latest bit of corrupt political maneuvering to prolong the repugliklan hegemony? :D

FARK!!! North Korea Just Tested the Bomb

How long before some left wing idiot blames the N. Korea nuke test on plot by Karl Rove. 5...4...3..

    N Korea Nuke Test?

But if Kim Jong Il nukes LA the Fed will lower interest rates. Surely nothing else matters.
  17. D

    N Korea Nuke Test?

Exactly. Who gives a shit if N. Korea is firing off nukes? We've got a bull market rally to tend to, by God.

    Thorn is calling..

I don't know and don't particularly care where the S&P will be at the end of the year. I can't even pretend to see that far in advance, although the trend is obviously higher currently. About the best prognostication I can usually manage is 3 to 4 weeks out and I'm not even sure about that...
