$ bottomed, bonds topped, employment # friday

I was just reviewing some charts and I'm thinking the dollar may have bottomed vs the euro while bonds have topped out. I'm wondering if the forex and debt markets are forecasting a better than expected employment number on Friday. Of course, my entire premise could be hooey. :D

Iran Turning Off The Oil Tap

Thanks for sharing the results of your vigorous research with us. Start using capitals correctly and show a basic grasp of sentence structure and I'll really be impressed, Einstein. My 'net research has shown that left-wing Brits are the most stunningly arrogant bunch of myopic windbags on...

LOL, now don't you start! What are you seeing that makes you think this is a top? I thought today would be a down day but, obviously, I was wrong. I'm waiting to see shooting star candlesticks in the major indices. Not that that is the be-all, end-all of signals but it's pretty good for...

Great clip of an awesome human being. Thanks for posting that. We need more people like her in America, Europe and Asia, too. There are too many people like makloda who don't have the slightest clue.

"Western Civilization" - ha-ha-ha-ha!!! Don't kid yourself. Capitulation to Islamic extremists is a done deal. Done their way. Phony pop-culture leftism rules in Europe and the US. People just want to watch the telly in their Che Guevara t-shirts. Or put on their Che sweatshirt to go...

Futures Going To Get Killed Tonight!!!

Monday - the same day as the selloff - was the last day that would give you a settlement date of November for stocks. Many mutual funds were raising cash for their mandatory year-end distributions. I agree that the market is vulnerable here but I have doubts that 12/1 is a key bearish...

    ^VIX at a 52 week lowwww!!!!!!

IMHO, we hit a short-term low on the dollar today. I'm basing that on my own indicators and on some of the moaning that's starting to come out of Europe. Also, the Japanese and European Feds aren't going to keep cranking rates up without considering the currency implications.

Black Friday Sales Up 6 Percent Over '05

Dewd...You were right; I was wrong. Hats off to ya. I guess today was a combo of "buy the rumor, sell the news" on the retail data, the dollar getting hit and maybe some political concerns as well. The Walmart thing in particular threw me. They'd already warned on sales so I didn't...

    Futures Down Again Part Iii.

If Bernanke talks hawkish, we have upward pressure on rates and stocks get hit. If Bernanke talks dovish, the dollar gets hit some more and so do stocks. Same idea with the data coming out. Looks like a lose/lose scenario. I'm just trying to surf the market in the right direction but we...
