    Are dark pools legal?

Instinet has been around for many years and the "dark pools" seem similar but I'm not sure how trades and volume are reported with dark pools. Are they reporting trades and volume to the tape within SEC/NASD guidelines? Are they reporting to the tape at all? "Arranged trades" have also been...

    LOL. I use a wheelbarrow.

It's going down and it's going down hard.

Great post. Very true, except for the last sentence, IMHO. I don't think congress is going to do anything at all.

It's going down and it's going down hard.

Hey, who knows, maybe we'll be up tomorrow, but the idea that there is more "leniency' with econ numbers because the market dropped a percent is pretty silly.

It's going down and it's going down hard.

The genius has spoken. :p Actually, yes, I think it's possible we could get a solid pullback here. Before the open tomorrow, we've got the PPI and retail sales. Based on recent data those could be nasty, especially retail sales. Asian markets are getting hit as we speak. CPI comes out...

CNBC Caught In Lie About Mutual Funds

That bullshit you're rolling in is your own. You're dead wrong, your fund is a pig by every measure and you can't even begin to admit it. Yeah, check back here in 5 or 10 years. I'm sure you'll be just as brain-dead and delusional.

Maybe we could build a fire, sing a couple of songs, huh? Why don't we try that? :D

CNBC Caught In Lie About Mutual Funds

No comments on the S&P 500 and "market beating returns" named as benchmarks in the prospectus? No, of course not, because you've demonstrated a total inability to face reality. Hussman's underperformance for the last five years is the millionth example of a new manager being able to achieve...

CNBC Caught In Lie About Mutual Funds

I completely agree. Regarding Hussman not participating in the market the last two years, that is clearly the case regardless of what his investment decisions were based on. Trailing the S&P by over 15% for the last year is not just underperforming, that's the kind of extremely poor...

CNBC Caught In Lie About Mutual Funds

As you point out, the fund's own prospectus references the S&P 500 as a benchmark. Hello? Anybody home? And what's your definition of a business cycle? A hundred years? We've already gone from boom to bust to recovery over the life of your fund. What your glorious fund has "precisely...

CNBC Caught In Lie About Mutual Funds

I'll try to keep it simple so you don't get confused. The Hussman fund in question is a growth fund. In other words, the goal is to grow capital within the fund by investing primarily in stocks. Get it, Martin? The most common benchmark used for gauging growth fund performance is the S&P...

CNBC Caught In Lie About Mutual Funds

And that has clearly been a total loser for going on five years, at least, the way he's going about it. I guarantee you "I will underperform the S&P 500" is not one of his investment objectives. The standard metric for all domestic fund managers is the S&P 500. When you have to rationalize...

    Stunning Outsourcing Prediction On IBM

Exactly right. And we hear the usual blather from politicians about improving education and about how important it is to get an education...It's all horseshit. The Dems and the Republicans are both insanely corrupted and self-dealing to a degree that we haven't seen in at least 100 years...

CNBC Caught In Lie About Mutual Funds

Speaking of cherry picking... Any outperformance Hussman exhibited was early on when his fund had almost no money in it and he was writing calls during a bear market. Since the market bottom in October 2002, he has been getting his ass handed to him. Anyone who wants to hang in there with a...

    Hang on to your hats!

Yes, that's making me queasy, also. Another indicator that I use that's pretty reliable turned bearish today. I don't think the market's going to tank. We could have a 3 -5 day pullback but, yeah, it makes me nervous about what the nitwits at the Fed will say on Wednesday.

CNBC Caught In Lie About Mutual Funds

Hussman Strategic Growth Fund Annualized 3 year return = 4.11% S&P 500 Annualized 3 year return = 10.06% What's wrong with this picture? John Hussman is a smart guy. The "smart" analysis is not always the best analysis.

This prolonged rally is a bit weird, no doubt about it, but several indices are showing a rally through the Feb highs, a pullback an test of those highs followed by a rally, which is pretty bullish.
